Remote | South Africa
NetOps Africa is looking for an experienced, high-energy Business Development Representative who knows how to generate opportunities, build relationships, and move prospects through the entire sales process.
This is not a junior appointment-setting position.
We are looking for someone who has already spent time in B2B sales, ideally within the MSP, IT services, technology, staffing, or professional services space. You should be extremely comfortable on the phone, personable, persistent without being pushy, and capable of creating conversations from a cold start.
The right person will initially be hands-on and responsible for generating and developing their own opportunities. As NetOps Africa continues to grow, we want this individual to have the experience and leadership ability to help us build, mentor, and eventually lead a larger outbound sales team.
Experience with Zoho CRM is strongly preferred.
Candidates with significant experience using HubSpot CRM will also be considered, particularly if they have used it for:
Experience configuring or improving CRM workflows, dashboards, automations, sales stages, or reporting would be a major advantage.
You are a call crusher.
Picking up the phone doesn't intimidate you. You know how to get past the first few seconds of a cold call, earn someone's attention, ask good questions, and turn conversations into real opportunities.
At the same time, we're not looking for someone who simply pounds through a call list.
You need to be personable, curious, commercially aware, and capable of having a genuine conversation with a business owner or senior executive. You understand that great outbound sales is a combination of activity, consistency, relationship building, and good judgment.
You're also a self-starter. You don't need someone constantly telling you who to call next or reminding you to follow up.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build something. Initially, you'll be expected to lead from the front and produce your own results. As we grow, there will be an opportunity to help develop the people, processes, and structure around you.
NetOps Africa connects North American businesses with experienced South African professionals, helping organizations expand their teams with high-quality talent while simplifying recruitment, employment, HR, and ongoing workforce management.
We're growing quickly and are looking for someone who wants to play a meaningful role in building the next stage of our sales organization.
Before interviewing with NetOps Africa, spend time on our website and come prepared to demonstrate how you would actually sell our services.
We are not looking for someone who has simply memorized our website. We want to see how you think, how you qualify an opportunity, how you conduct discovery, and how you turn a conversation into a meaningful next step.
During the interview, be prepared to:
We may change the scenario during the interview, so be prepared to think on your feet.
We want someone who can prospect, qualify, discover, sell, follow up, and close.
Do your homework on NetOps Africa before the interview and come prepared to show us how you would sell us, not just tell us that you can sell.
This is a fully remote position, and candidates must have a professional home working environment suitable for full-time client-facing sales work.
You must have:

Reliable backup power capable of supporting your workstation and internet connection during load shedding or outages
A suitable modern computer for professional business use
A quality noise-cancelling headset
A working webcam
A quiet, professional workspace with minimal background noise or interruptions
The ability to participate comfortably in video meetings and sales calls throughout the workday
