Last updated: August 20, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Rapidr, Inc. ("DailyRemote," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website at dailyremote.com and related services.

1

Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways:

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Profile Information: Job preferences, location preferences, salary expectations, and job title/role.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe (we do not store your full credit card number).
  • Resume Files: If you use our resume review service, we temporarily store your uploaded resume (PDF format, up to 7MB).
  • Job Alert Preferences: Categories, locations, keywords, and notification frequency settings.
  • Communications: Messages you send to us via email or contact forms.
  • Talent Profile Information: If you create a talent profile, we collect: professional headline, description, date of birth, gender, location, photo, resume, experience level, English proficiency, remote experience, timezone overlap preferences, notice period, salary expectations, hourly rate, years of experience, skills, job type preferences, education (degree and field of study), and social/professional links (LinkedIn, GitHub, Twitter, website URL).
  • Lead Magnet Downloads: When you download free resources, we collect your email address.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, jobs viewed, clicks, and time spent on the Site.
  • Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address (country level).
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
  • Job Search Queries: Search terms and filters you use when browsing job listings.
  • Job Application Clicks: We record when you click "Apply" on a job listing, including the job viewed and your browser information.
  • Premium Activity Logs: If you are a premium subscriber, we log pages you visit and jobs you interact with to improve service quality.
  • Advertising Identifiers: Cookies and identifiers set by advertising platforms, including Meta's _fbp and _fbc cookies, Google Ads identifiers, and click identifiers such as fbclid, gclid, and UTM campaign tags in the URL. We also set a random visitor identifier cookie (dr_vid) and, once you give us your email address, a cookie holding a one-way SHA-256 hash of that address (dr_eh); both are used only to match advertising events to you, as described in Section 3.5. We also store a first-touch and last-touch attribution cookie (dr_ft, dr_lt) that records the campaign or referring website that brought you to the Site.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
  • Payment Processor: Stripe provides us with transaction confirmations and limited billing information.
2

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Provide Services: Deliver job listings, send job alerts, process payments, and provide customer support.
  • Personalization: Customize job recommendations based on your preferences and browsing history.
  • Communication: Send newsletters, job alerts, service updates, and marketing communications (with your consent).
  • Analytics: Understand how users interact with our Site to improve our services.
  • Advertising and Measurement: Measure how our ads perform, show you ads for DailyRemote on other platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Google, and LinkedIn), and build audiences of people who look like our existing users. This includes sharing data with those platforms as described in Section 4.2.
  • Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
  • Talent Profile Display: If you create a talent profile, certain information (name, headline, skills, experience, location, photo) is publicly visible to employers and may appear in search engine results. You can control your profile visibility and delete your profile at any time.
3

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience:

3.1 Essential Cookies

Required for the Site to function (authentication, security, session management).

3.2 Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how visitors use our Site. We use:

  • Google Analytics: Website traffic and usage patterns.
  • Plausible Analytics: Privacy-focused analytics (self-hosted).
  • Microsoft Clarity: Session recordings and heatmaps to improve user experience.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag: LinkedIn advertising analytics and conversion tracking.

3.3 Marketing Cookies

Used to deliver relevant advertisements. We use:

  • Google Ads: Conversion tracking and remarketing.
  • Meta Pixel: Facebook and Instagram conversion tracking and retargeting. The pixel sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies and reports events such as page views, account registrations, lead sign-ups, and purchases. Our servers also set and renew these two cookies so that browser and server events refer to the same browser.
  • LinkedIn Ads: Professional audience targeting and conversion measurement.
  • Tolt: Affiliate referral tracking.

3.4 Essential Third-Party Services

  • Cloudflare: Content delivery, security, and bot protection (Turnstile CAPTCHA). Cloudflare may set its own cookies and processes your IP address for security purposes.

3.5 Server-Side Conversion Measurement

In addition to the browser tags above, our servers send conversion events directly to Meta using the Meta Conversions API. These transmissions occur server-side; blocking cookies or scripts in your browser does not prevent them. To opt out of them, follow Section 4.3. The events transmitted include page views, account registration, lead sign-ups, checkout starts, and purchases.

With each event we send your IP address, browser user agent, the page URL, an event ID used to remove duplicate events, and the Meta cookie values (_fbp, _fbc) if present. We also send your visitor identifier (dr_vid) and, where we know it, a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address, first name, and account ID. If you are not signed in, the email hash comes from the dr_eh cookie set when you last gave us your email address. We also store the visitor identifier on your account record when you are signed in. Meta uses these values to match the event to a Meta account and to report ad performance to us. See Section 4.2 for more detail.

Managing Cookies: You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality. To limit advertising specifically, see Section 4.3 (Your Advertising Choices).

4

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited information with advertising platforms for measurement and targeting, as described in Section 4.2. We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate our business (payment processing, email delivery, analytics, cloud hosting).
  • Employers: When you click "Apply" on a job listing, you are redirected to the employer's site. We do not share your information directly with employers.
  • Advertising Platforms: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and LinkedIn, for conversion measurement and for showing you our ads. See Section 4.2.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government request.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4.2 Advertising Partners and Custom Audiences

We advertise DailyRemote on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and LinkedIn. To measure those ads and to show them to the right people, we share the following with those platforms:

  • Event data from your browser: The advertising tags on our pages report page views, registrations, lead sign-ups, and purchases, together with the URL of the page viewed and the cookies set by those platforms.
  • Event data from our servers: We send the same kinds of events to Meta through the Meta Conversions API, with your IP address, user agent, page URL, Meta cookie values, your visitor identifier, and a hashed version of your email address, first name, and account ID.
  • Custom audience lists: We upload lists of registered users' email addresses to Meta as Custom Audiences. Email addresses are hashed with SHA-256 before upload, so Meta does not receive them in readable form. Meta matches the hashes against its own accounts so we can show ads to those users, exclude them from campaigns, or find similar audiences ("lookalikes"). Meta is contractually required to use the list only for our advertising and to delete it after matching.

We do not transmit your resume or the contents of your talent profile to these platforms. Because event data includes the URL of the page viewed, it may identify particular job listings and search pages you visit. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in promoting our services and cease upon an opt-out exercised under Section 4.3. Under California law, these disclosures may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; we do not sell personal information. See Section 8.

4.3 Your Advertising Choices

  • Adjust your ad settings directly on each platform: Meta Ad Preferences, Google My Ad Center, and your LinkedIn ad settings.
  • Block or delete advertising cookies in your browser settings, or use a tracking blocker. This stops the browser tags but not server-side events.
  • Email contact@dailyremote.com to opt out of server-side conversion events and to request removal of your email address from our advertising audiences. We honor such requests within 15 business days of receipt.
  • Deleting your account removes your email address from future audience uploads. Updating your email preferences controls marketing email only; it does not by itself stop ad targeting.
5

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Payment Records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
  • Resume Files: Deleted within 30 days after the review service is completed.
  • Job Alert Preferences: Retained until you unsubscribe or delete your account.
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated data may be retained indefinitely; identifiable data is deleted after 26 months.
  • Talent Profile Data: Retained while your profile is active; deleted upon request or account deletion.
  • Search Query Data: Retained for analytics purposes and deleted after 26 months.
  • Apply Click Data: Retained for analytics purposes and aggregated over time.
  • Advertising Data: Attribution cookies (dr_ft, dr_lt) expire after 90 days. The Meta click cookie (_fbc) expires 90 days after the ad click. The Meta browser cookie (_fbp) and our visitor identifier (dr_vid) are renewed on each visit and expire up to 400 days after your last visit; some browsers, such as Safari, shorten this to 7 days for _fbp. The email hash cookie (dr_eh) expires 180 days after it was set and is deleted when you sign out or delete your account. Conversion events and custom audience lists we share with advertising platforms are held by those platforms under their own retention rules.
6

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.
  • Secure password hashing (bcrypt).
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring.
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data.
  • Secure third-party payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant via Stripe).

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7

Automated Processing: We use automated tools to categorize and enhance job listing data (such as inferring salary ranges and job categories). These automated processes apply to job data, not to decisions about individual users.

To opt out, email contact@dailyremote.com or follow the steps in Section 4.3. We honor opt-out requests within 15 business days of receipt.
