Cover letter generator FAQs

Is the cover letter generator free?

Yes. Sign up free and get 50 AI credits, about 8 cover letters, on us. Read, edit and copy each letter. PDF download comes with Premium. Premium includes 500 AI credits a month, about 80 letters.

What do I need to create a cover letter?

Upload a text-based PDF resume up to 7MB and paste the job description (at least 100 characters). You can also start from a DailyRemote job listing with its description prefilled.

How is the letter tailored to the job?

The AI uses your resume and the job requirements to draft relevant connections. You can add why the company and role interest you. Review all details before sending: AI can make mistakes.

Can I edit and download my cover letter?

Yes. Edit the draft directly on the result page; edits save on their own. Copy uses your current edits. Premium members can also download the letter as PDF.

How long should my cover letter be?

Choose a standard draft targeting 250–350 words or a short draft targeting 150–200 words. Follow the employer’s instructions and keep the experience most relevant to the role.

Can I use it for remote jobs?

Yes. Add the remote job description and highlight relevant collaboration or independent work experience in your resume. The draft uses the information you provide.

Do you store my resume?

For visitors without an account, the PDF is processed to generate the letter and is not stored. Member resumes are saved in the private resume library and also used for Resume Match scores. Members can remove their resume from the library.

Do I need a new cover letter for each application?

Tailor your letter to the role’s requirements and the company. Reuse relevant experience, but review the details and explain why that particular opportunity interests you.
