They will manage the full sales cycle, from initial discovery and value demonstration to the successful handoff of new members to the account management team.

Build your sales career with the training, coaching, flexibility, and support to succeed.
About the Role
The Inside Account Executive is a pure new business development role focused on generating and closing net-new membership with organizations that are not yet McLean & Company clients. You will prospect into a defined territory, build relationships with HR leaders from the ground up, and open the door to new organizations that could benefit from our research, diagnostics, and advisory services.
You will connect HR executives with McLean & Company’s research, diagnostics, advisory services, and expert support for the first time. By understanding each prospect’s priorities and challenges, you will build a strong, consistent pipeline of new business and hand off newly won members for ongoing account management.
Why Join McLean & Company?
  • A robust onboarding and sales training program designed to give you the product knowledge, practical skills, tools, and confidence to succeed in the role.
  • Ongoing coaching and support from experienced sales leaders as you apply your learning, strengthen your capabilities, and build momentum.
  • Clear opportunities to develop your sales career, take on new challenges, and pursue future growth as the business continues to expand.
  • A collaborative culture where team members share knowledge, support one another, and celebrate individual and collective wins.
  • The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with HR leaders and help clients address real workplace and business challenges.
  • The broader resources and career opportunities that come with being part of McLean & Company, a division of Info-Tech Research Group.
A Remote Role That Keeps You Connected
This particular role can be performed remotely from within Canada. Remote does not mean working alone. You will be part of an engaged sales team with regular opportunities to collaborate, learn, share ideas, and connect with colleagues and leaders across the business.
For employees who enjoy an office environment or want occasional in-person connection, our London and Toronto offices are available as an optional place to work. You can benefit from the flexibility of remote work while still having access to the energy, relationships, and resources of an office when it works for you.
What You’ll Do
  • Prospect and build a consistent pipeline of net-new opportunities within a defined territory, using outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, and other prospecting channels to reach HR leaders at organizations that are not yet McLean & Company members.
  • Build trusted relationships with HR executives and other senior stakeholders at prospect organizations by understanding their priorities, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Introduce prospects to the most relevant McLean & Company research, diagnostics, software, advisory services, and subject-matter experts to demonstrate the value of membership.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through referrals, professional networks, marketing leads, and contact moves, always with the goal of landing a new organization as a member.
  • Lead thoughtful discovery conversations, communicate value clearly, and guide opportunities through the sales process.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff of newly won members to the account management team.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, activity, pipeline, and forecast information in company systems.
  • Work toward established new-business, revenue, and activity goals while applying feedback and coaching to continuously improve.
What You Bring
  • 2-7 years of experience in sales, business development, prospecting, or another client-facing B2B environment. Early-career candidates with strong transferable skills are encouraged to also apply.
  • A genuine interest in building a career in consultative sales and developing relationships with business leaders.
  • Strong communication, listening, questioning, and relationship-building skills.
  • Curiosity and the ability to learn new products, business concepts, and client challenges.
  • A goal-oriented, resilient mindset with the accountability and follow-through needed to build a pipeline from scratch and thrive on the challenge of winning new business.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills, with attention to accurate and timely follow-up.
  • Coachability and a willingness to apply feedback, practice new techniques, and continuously develop.
Our Interview Process
From initial screening through to the final round, every interview is conducted by a member of our Talent Acquisition or leadership team. You can engage in genuine conversation, ask questions, and learn about the role, team, and McLean & Company.
We do not use AI interviewers or automated screening bots to conduct interviews. We believe hiring is personal, and every candidate deserves the opportunity to connect directly with the people they may ultimately work with.
