The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving group business and developing new revenue opportunities across British Columbia and Alberta. This role involves managing key accounts, executing regional sales strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful event delivery.

We are seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and group sales efforts across Western Canada primarily focusing in AB and BC. This role is focused on generating new business, expanding key accounts, building strategic partnerships, and increasing awareness of Revelstoke Mountain Resort and its associated properties within priority regional markets.
JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving group business for Revelstoke Mountain Resort and its associated properties, including The Sutton Place Hotel and Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge.
This is a proactive, revenue-focused sales role responsible for developing new business and growing key accounts throughout British Columbia and Alberta, with a focus on corporate, association, government and other group opportunities.
The Regional Sales Manager will build and maintain a strong pipeline through consistent prospecting, in-market sales calls, client meetings, networking, site inspections, FAM trips and industry events.
This role will own the development and execution of the regional sales strategy, identifying and prioritizing key feeder markets, high-value accounts, industry segments, and partnership opportunities. The Regional Sales Manager will be accountable for building market presence, achieving established revenue targets, and driving measurable group revenue growth for Revelstoke.
Working closely with internal resort and hotel teams, the Regional Sales Manager will own the client relationship and sales process from prospecting through contracting, ensuring a seamless handoff of confirmed business to the appropriate planning and operational teams while maximizing the overall value of each group and supporting an exceptional guest experience.
Regional Market Development & Business Growth
-Proactively identify, target, and secure new group business within:
Corporate
Associations
Government
Incentive and qualified group business
Regional organizations and professional groups
-Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on British Columbia and Alberta markets.
-Conduct regular in-market sales calls, client meetings, and networking activities.
-Identify and prioritize high-value feeder markets, accounts, industry segments, and strategic partnerships based on revenue potential
-Develop annual and quarterly regional sales action plans aligned with overall resort revenue objectives
Business Development & Revenue Generation
-Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified group leads.
-Prepare customized proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies tailored to client needs.
-Negotiate contracts and close business alignment with revenue goals and resort strategy.
-Achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets and booking goals.
-Monitor regional sales performance, including pipeline value, account production, conversion, bookings. pace, prospecting activity, and revenue against established targets.
-Maintain accurate tracking of accounts, sales activities, opportunities, contracts, and pipeline within CRM systems, and participate in regular forecasting and sales reporting.
Client Relationship & Account Growth
-Manage and strategically grow an assigned portfolio of key accounts while continually identifying and developing new business opportunities within the region.

Regional business and industry networks
-Conduct site inspections and host prospective clients at the resort.
-Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
-Develop account plans for priority clients, identifying opportunities to increase production, repeat business, referrals, and overall account value.
Collaboration
-Own the client relationship and sales process through contracting, then collaborate with the Catering & Sales Manager to ensure a comprehensive handoff of confirmed business into event planning and execution. Maintain appropriate account-level involvement to -support client retention and future business opportunities.
-Work closely with:
Guest Experience team (room blocks, itineraries, pre-arrival planning)
Revenue Management (pricing, availability, and group strategy)
Marketing (campaigns, sales materials, and promotions)
Resort & Hotel Operations to support site inspections, client experiences, and successful delivery of key group business
Market Insights & Strategy
-Stay informed on regional market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
-Provide insights and recommendations to support overall sales strategy and positioning.
-Monitor competitor positioning, regional demand trends, account production, and market conditions to identify opportunities and recommend adjustments to regional sales strategy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS
-This role operates in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with high levels of interaction with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
-Regular travel within British Columbia and Alberta is required, along with periodic visits to the resort.
-The position may involve extended workdays and occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business needs, events, and travel schedules.
EXPERIENCE/ PASSIONS/ EDUCATION
-3–5+ years of progressive experience in hospitality sales, tourism, group sales, or business development, with demonstrated responsibility for account development and achievement of revenue targets.
-Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities
-Experience working with corporate, government, association, or group travel markets preferred
-Strong relationship-building, networking, and account management skills
-Experience conducting sales calls, site tours, client presentations, and trade show representation
-Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
-Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
-Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
-Knowledge of the tourism, resort, or ski industry considered an asset
-Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout British Columbia and Alberta
-Demonstrated ability to manage a regional territory, prioritize high-value opportunities, and work toward defined sales targes and KPIs.
-Experience with sales forecasting, account planning, pipeline management, and revenue reporting considered an asset.
