Sales Operations Manager

THE JOB

SimX is scaling across health systems, academic and commercial accounts, Military and Federal programs, international distribution, and emerging markets. As we continue to grow, the Sales Operations Manager will build and manage the processes, systems, analytics, and infrastructure that enable our Sales team to operate effectively and predictably.

This is a hands-on builder role responsible for five core areas: deal desk management; sales performance and analytics; forecasting and pipeline management; territory, quota, and compensation; and sales systems and processes. The role will work closely with the VP of Sales and partner across Finance, Legal, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product and will manage 1 full-time employee (FTE).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal Desk Management

• Own the deal desk process from intake through handoff to Legal/Contracting, including pricing review, deal structure, approval routing, and required documentation.
• Maintain approved pricing, discount guidelines, and approval paths, and coordinate exceptions with the appropriate Sales, Finance, and Legal decision-makers.
• Analyze deal economics and identify financial or commercial issues requiring escalation.
• Monitor deal desk turnaround time, discounts, exceptions, and recurring friction points and recommend improvements.

Sales Performance & Analytics

• Own Sales reporting and dashboards for pipeline, bookings, conversion, win/loss, sales cycle, quota attainment, and other key performance measures.
• Analyze Sales performance by rep, segment, and territory to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to Sales leadership.
• Partner with Finance to reconcile Sales bookings and pipeline data with company financial reporting.

Forecasting & Pipeline Management

• Run the weekly Sales forecast process, including submissions, deal reviews, forecast categories, rollups, and reporting.
• Monitor pipeline health, coverage, deal movement, close-date changes, and gaps to target.
• Partner with the VP of Global Sales to improve forecast accuracy and with Finance to provide the Sales forecast as an input to company planning.

Territory, Quota & Compensation

• Build territory and named-account assignments across segments in partnership with Sales leadership.
• Model Sales capacity, quota, and ramp against the annual bookings plan.
• Administer Sales compensation plans and SPIFs, including crediting rules, attribution between Sales and Customer Success, monthly commission calculations, and dispute resolution.

Sales Systems & Process

• Own administration and roadmap for the commercial tech stack, including Salesforce (system of record), pipeline intelligence and forecasting tools, sales intelligence and prospecting platforms. Ensures data quality, performs data audits, provides governance of sales systems.
• Establish and document scalable sales workflows, including stage requirements, MEDDPICC qualification frameworks, Mutual Close Plan standards, and territory allocation guidelines.
• Maintain effective Sales handoffs with Marketing, Legal/Contracting, Finance, and Customer Success.
• Lead rollout and adoption of Sales process and system changes and manage Sales technology vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or a related function, including experience at a senior individual-contributor or management level.
• Demonstrated experience building or improving Sales Operations processes in a growing organization.
• Experience managing deal desk processes, pricing administration, and approval workflows.
• Advanced Salesforce expertise, including reporting, dashboards, validation rules, approval processes, and data management.
• Strong experience with Sales forecasting, pipeline management, performance reporting, and analytics.
• Experience administering Sales compensation, quota, and territory plans.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with BI or reporting tools.
• Ability to turn data into clear recommendations for Sales and executive leadership.
• Experience partnering effectively across Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must reside in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• B2B SaaS experience in a growth-stage company.
• Experience in healthcare, medical education, simulation, med-tech, or another complex institutional sales environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise, academic/institutional, government/defense, international, or channel sales.
• Familiarity with public-sector or higher-education procurement and contracting.
• Experience with MEDDPICC or a comparable qualification framework.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Target salary range: $120,000–$150,000 annually; commensurate with experience
