Overview

The primary objective of the role is to lead Califia Farms' selling activities across all foodservice segments in the East region. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing and growing partnerships with distributors, managing brokers, and opening new accounts that align with Califia Farms mission and values. The role requires a proven leader with a successful foodservice sales background and experience managing a large existing customer base. Must reside within the given sales territory, preferably: MA, NY, DC.

Responsibilities
  • Engage regional foodservice operators and distributors to sell the full portfolio of Califia Farms products in accordance with Away From Home goals and initiatives
  • Manage and grow an existing book of business
  • Manage and build relationships among operators, distributors, and brokers
  • Direct management and engagement of a large broker sales network to increase reach and sales penetration
  • Accurate and timely sales volume forecasting and trade spend management
  • Prepare and conduct effective sales meetings, presentations and trainings
  • Manage and conduct distributor and channel trade shows within the territory
  • Cross-functional internal team engagement across operations, marketing, and finance to get stakeholder buy-in and support
  • Actively maintain and utilize sales operations platforms: Salesforce, Telus, Power BI
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of multi-state foodservice sales and management experience in the CPG industry. Beverage industry experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success with an emerging brand in a sales management role
  • Distributor management of both Broadline (Sysco, US Foods, PFG, etc.) and independent/specialty distributors. Existing relationships are preferred.
  • Experience managing and working with a large foodservice broker
  • Working knowledge and prior engagement with Dot Foods
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and automated trade spend systems such as Telus
  • High proficiency with Windows-based platforms and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to (but not limited to) 50%

The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $125,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting the actual salary.
