The Commercial Business Manager at CVRx will be an expert in Commercial effectiveness and strategy - a business partner to the field supporting Area Sales Directors and Territory Managers through business analysis, forecasting, CRM discipline, account performance, business reviews, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement. 

As a Commercial Business Manager at CVRx, you will be responsible for partnering with commercial leadership and the field sales organization to improve business performance across an assigned portfolio of accounts. By combining strategic business analysis with disciplined operational execution, the Business Manager identifies growth opportunities, monitors leading indicators, translates data into actionable business insights, and helps drive strategies that accelerate adoption of Barostim Therapy and improve commercial results.  

Serving as a strategic business partner to Area Sales Directors, Territory Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Business Manager develops a deep understanding of assigned accounts, commercial performance, and business trends to proactively identify opportunities, support business planning and forecasting, coordinate business reviews, and remove operational barriers that improve commercial execution. Success in this role is measured by the ability to improve account performance, strengthen commercial execution, increase business predictability, and create additional capacity for the field organization to focus on customers and patients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads and manages activities of all commercial field employees within the region of responsibility. Ensures necessary support is available for commercial sites.
  • Identifies commercial accounts that will perform to the highest standards of quality and contribute to the successful adoption of CVRx’s therapy in the marketplace by leveraging data insights.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key site personnel including implanters, referring physicians, and administrators.
  • Models adherence to sales management processes and reporting systems usage to ensure disciplined implementation of commercial strategy for assigned area.  Ensures team is maintaining an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce.
  • Works with commercial field employees to provide technical support for implants and follow-up activities for commercial accounts.
  • Participates in targeting and profiling potential customers for CVRx’s devices.
  • Presents and discusses CVRx’s devices with leading electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, internists, general practitioners, and vascular/cardiothoracic surgeons to ensure their understanding of the therapy.
  • Models adherence to sales management processes and reporting systems usage to ensure disciplined implementation of commercial strategy for assigned area. Ensures team maintains an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce.
  • Participates/facilitates training programs to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial effectiveness, operations, business strategy, business analytics, finance, consulting, sales operations, or other business-facing roles supporting commercial organizations
  • Experience in the medical device industry, especially seeking those with implantable medical device experience (candidates with heart failure experience will be prioritized)  
  • Experience partnering directly with field sales organizations and commercial leaders.  
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence, forecasting, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve commercial performance and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated experience supporting business planning, commercial decision-making, and strategic initiatives through business analysis and actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify business trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Solid grasp on effective and consistent utilization of CRM systems, specifically Salesforce (SFDC) and ability to coach others on the same principals
  • Excellence in use of O365 suite, including Microsoft Excel as well as Power BI and other business reporting tools to support business planning and decision-making
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and influence cross functional stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to trave up to 50% throughout the US by air and car
  • Proper identification for US and International air travel as required by law
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to maintain a private, professional home office environment that can support confidential information


PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related graduate degree
  • Knowledge of the heart failure market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, and advantages/disadvantages as they relate to CVRx’s devices
  • Experience in the launch and sale of disruptive medical device(s) and challenges that come with them (complexity of sale, prior auth and reimbursement, etc.)
  • Experience in startup, growth-stage and/or M&A business environments
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to support field engagement, business planning, customer meetings, and cross-functional collaboration 
  • May be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and other diseases if role requires you to be credentialed

Salary range for U.S locations (USD): 139,950 to 170,000 per year base salary 

 

The base salary range is applicable across the U.S., complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and specific location.

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for participation in our annual Corporate Bonus Plan (CBP) which provides the opportunity to earn additional compensation for the company’s meeting established annual objectives and prorated based on earned annual base salary.
