The Manager, Underwriting provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the underwriting team to ensure high-quality credit decisioning and process efficiency. This role also manages cross-functional relationships with lender partners, Sales, Risk, and IT to drive underwriting excellence.

Provide high-level customer service in a high-volume contact centre by answering mortgage insurance questions and providing premium quotes. Support the National Underwriting Centre by managing outstanding appraisals and assisting lender partners with Sagen systems.

This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth and competitive advantage across Eastern Canada by developing and implementing innovative strategies based on analytics and market intelligence. Key duties include shaping regional sales strategies, building and developing a high-performing sales team through coaching, and ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
