Overview
The Strategic Account Executive, Global Sales is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding adoption of CMMI products and services, including CMMI AIM (Artificial Intelligence Maturity), across strategic enterprise accounts and partner relationships. This role owns the end-to-end sales process for assigned prospects and customers, including pipeline development, consultative discovery, executive-level solution positioning, negotiation, and deal advancement. The position requires a skilled new-business hunter and strategic relationship manager with experience selling complex professional services or enterprise solutions to senior decision-makers. Working closely with CMMI strategy, product leadership, account management, marketing, legal, and service delivery teams, the role helps achieve revenue targets, strengthen market presence, and expand ISACA/CMMI’s strategic partnerships and alliances.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve assigned CMMI revenue targets, including identifying and qualifying enterprise opportunities, advancing complex sales cycles, securing new direct-use clients, and developing new partner relationships.
- Drive adoption, satisfaction, and retention within accounts by coordinating post-sale engagement, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring customer needs are addressed through appropriate internal resources.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and consistent opportunity, account, and forecasting data in the CRM system to support pipeline management, revenue forecasting, and leadership visibility.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with marketing, legal, service delivery, fulfillment, and finance resources to advance sales objectives, support contracting and invoicing requirements, and ensure a seamless transition from sale to delivery.
Qualifications
Required Field of Study:
- BA or BS degree in Business, Sales, or related discipline from an accredited university
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
- 10+ years of enterprise sales executive experience
Description of Minimum Experience Required:
- Solid familiarity with CMMI, NIST or similar frameworks and their applications within consultancy and business environments.
- Strong network and established relationships that can be leveraged to increase CMMI adoption.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to formulate and develop business partnerships through utilization of successful sales strategies and plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales roles selling professional services.
- Demonstrated success in formulating and enabling business partnerships with large organizations.
- Experience in negotiating large-scale contracts and reducing long sales cycles.
- Ability to work independently on a flexible schedule, tailored to project needs while reaching objectives.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Preferred Field of Study:
- MBA or MS degree in Business, Sales, or related discipline from an accredited university
Preferred Years of Experience:
- 15+ years of strategic account sales
