We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to manage and mentor our growing APAC Business Development Representative (BDR) team for the Japanese market. This role is pivotal in driving multichannel pipeline lead generation in the high-tech industry and optimizing prospecting strategies across the region.
The APAC BDR SrTL - Japan reports to the Program Manager (PM) and will work closely and collaboratively with Team Leaders in APAC, EMEA, and NAM, ensuring global alignment, consistency, and high performance across our BDR function.

What You Will Do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 BDRs in Japan, supporting them in achieving and exceeding KPIs related to outreach, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Japanese BDR team, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and best practices.
Monitor and analyze performance data and provide actionable feedback, training, and motivation to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with the Japanese Sales and Marketing teams and Harte Hanks internal teams to align regional outreach strategies with global GTM goals.
Contribute to the refinement of outreach messaging, campaigns, and tools based on regional performance insights.
Critically analyze data and trends, and effectively report them to the PM/AM.
Participate in global BDR leadership calls to coordinate strategy and share best practices across regions.
Support onboarding and training of new BDRs within the region.
Ensure accurate use of CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., SalesLoft, Drift) across the team.
Identify process improvements and support the implementation of sales enablement initiatives in the region.
What You Bring
3–5+ years of experience in B2B business development, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and grow high-performing sales development teams.
Strong understanding of multi-channel prospecting techniques (outbound, inbound calls, chat, e-mail, social) and tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Analytical mindset with experience interpreting performance metrics and dashboards.
Familiarity with Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other prospecting tools.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and across time zones in a fast-paced environment.
Native Japanese.
Based in Japan, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setup.
