Product Manager

Tilt (check us out here) is looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team and help us scale our business. You'll be part of a cross-functional feature team, partnering closely with Engineering and Design to discover, build, and evolve capabilities across the Tilt platform. Our goal is to make sure employees, managers, and HR administrators have a seamless, supportive experience throughout their leave journey. This is a full-time role reporting to the Group Product Manager. We want you to be successful here at Tilt! Below is a description of your role and responsibilities, including the things you will be held accountable for and the virtues, behaviors, and competencies expected in this role.

Responsibilities will include:

• Own a defined product area end-to-end, from understanding the problem and shaping the solution through delivery, launch, measurement and iteration.
• Identify and prioritize product opportunities based on:
• Customer needs and real-world leave workflows
• Business goals and measurable impact
• Long-term product strategy, platform scalability, and operational efficiency 
• Take an ambiguous customer or business problem, create structure around it, identify what you need to learn, and move the work forward without waiting for step-by-step direction.
• Distinguish a request from an underlying problem and use customer, business, and product evidence to recommend what should be built.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and Operations to deliver high-quality solutions and experiences
• Create clear visibility into your product area by communicating progress, decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and changes in a way that teammates and business partners outside the day-to-day work can understand
• Think AI- and automation-first when solving problems and looking for opportunities to eliminate work, improve decisions, personalize experiences, and create new product capabilities rather than simply digitizing existing workflows
• Engage directly with customers and internal teams to understand workflows, uncover pain points, and validate solutions in production
• Define success metrics and use data, experimentation, and qualitative feedback to continuously improve product outcomes
• Evaluate and introduce new capabilities (e.g., automation, AI-assisted workflows, and decision support) that reduce friction, increase efficiency, and improve user trust
• Support go-to-market readiness by ensuring features are well-positioned, understood, and adopted

You'll be successful in this role when:

• You can independently lead a product area without requiring constant direction
• Engineering and Design have the context and clarity they need to make good decisions with you
• Customers and internal partners feel heard, but their requests are translated into thoughtful product decisions rather than simply added to a backlog
• Risks and changes are surfaced early, and stakeholders understand what's happening without having to chase you
• You're measuring whether what we ship actually solved the problem
• You're increasingly bringing forward opportunities and recommendations—not just executing work assigned to you

You’re a great fit if 

• You bring 3+ years of hands-on product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of products or meaningful product areas from discovery through launch and iteration.
• You have experience building and shipping B2B or SaaS products
• You have experience owning platform, infrastructure, workflow, communications, or other foundational product capabilities
• You’re skilled at balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints
• You collaborate effectively with engineers and designers, even if you’re not deeply technical yourself
• You have high levels of empathy and can connect deeply with Tilt’s mission
• You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments and know that we need your help to figure things out 
• You are a comfortable using a lot of systems at once, and have the ability to learn software quickly
• You are fearlessly flexible and curious; aka you thrive in an environment where we don't have all the answers but are willing to help us figure them out 
• You have experience working with a startup and/or with a B2B SaaS business
• Experience in leave, HR Tech, benefits, payroll, compliance or other complex workflow-driven domain is a plus! 

Total Compensation 

The projected annual salary range is $120,000 - $130,000 USD plus stock options (ISOs), because we believe everyone should have some stake in our business.
