Footwear Sales ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE -REMOTE JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY OBJECTIVE
The Account Executive is responsible for delivering revenue growth for assigned accounts and identifying and securing new retail partners to drive brand growth in the marketplace. The Account Executive keenly understands how to deliver brand success for our retail partners and the Rocket Dog brand in today's marketplace. At Rocket Dog, we are customer-focused and a highly collaborative and integrated team. The Account Executive has a key role in demonstrating sales potential with all functions in the company to realize business opportunities, solve problems, and deliver exceptional results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- For assigned accounts, Manage hands-on details of all facets of the business, including but not limited to retail sales tracking, product deliveries, category/product selling, marketing efforts, and financial performance.
- Foster great relationships with accounts through consistent communication and a deep understanding of each account's business model, assortments, and success factors. Digitally savvy to keep pace with retailer systems and requirements for stores and e-commerce, including drop ship
- Develop a new business aligned with brand goals; continually nurture new retailer relationships to build long-term partnerships.
- Plan and attend tradeshows as needed, including but not limited to FFANY, Magic, Coterie, and other regional shows attended by assigned accounts.
- Deliver in-person and online sales presentations, ensuring each account represents the best the brand offers in fashion and core programs.
Integrated Partnerships
- In partnership with leadership, develop a clear understanding and implement brand positioning, segmentation, and channel strategy.
- Provide design, sales, and planning with product performance from our retailers through re-caps and participation in seasonal post-mortem meetings, prototype meetings, and sales meetings.
- Strong retail intelligence with knowledge of competitive key items, price points, and product performance. Ability to translate market intelligence into detailed business opportunities with design, planning, and sales teams.
- Assist other members of the sales team with retailer contacts, business opportunities, and problem-solving.
Operational Excellence
- Communicate all pertinent business issues to the relevant function in a timely manner to meet customer delivery objectives and financial goals.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience in partnership with Customer Service
- Develop a working knowledge of company systems and reporting to navigate available-to-sell, on-order, and other necessary data.

Experience
4+ years related footwear/accessory wholesale sales experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in footwear/accessory sales preferred
