Acentra seeks a Community Outreach Manager to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to support, develop, and maintain marketing and communications materials between the client and stakeholders. Support and develop regional statewide stakeholder council meetings as well as create content for client website with a stand alone database.

Position is remote within the State of Oregon.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance; and manage a team of outreach, marketing, and communications specialists.
  • Prepare and present materials and content to Medicare client and stakeholders.
  • Schedule, host, administer, and maintain reports of stakeholder community meetings.
  • Host live feedback sessions with community stakeholders. Document results, feedback and lessons learned from each session as well as develop action items.
  • Work with operations on multiple projects and collaborate with project teams to plan critical and timely communications materials.
  • Collaborate with operations teams in designing practical tools according to client specifications (e.g. reminder systems) that can be shared with stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison to participating agencies, tribal governments, legislators and member serving groups.
  • Collaborate with project teams in the development of appropriate communication mediums and materials and identification of effective distribution channels for specific target audiences.
  • Collaborate in the development and monitoring of project plans, timelines and budgets and
  • assists in the completion of project reports when possible.
  • Work with data analytics team to identify opportunities for improvement, and utilization of communications materials and databases.

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of six years of relative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in product development and strategic planning.
  • Experience in project management to oversee project deliverables, budget, compliance, and timeline.
  • Experience as a translation/transcreation manager to oversee all transcreation and translation and to ensure materials are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
  • Experience collaborating with community partners and Medicaid members.
  • Experience hosting community feedback sessions in multiple languages spoken in Oregon.
  • Experience in communication campaigns that promote health equity.
  • Experience leading, coordinating, and conducting multifaceted communication projects on healthcare policy.
  • Lived and/or professional experience in advancing health equity in community or within a large organization as well as exceptional skills and experience working cross-culturally.
  • Experience in approaching communication projects through an equity and culturally responsive lens.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office, desktop publishing and graphic software skills.
  • Must reside in Oregon.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Fluent in medical terminology and familiar with Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop needs assessment methods, both qualitative and quantitative research for information related to databases of public health.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects, especially cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals; attention to detail; ability to work independently.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $79,000 - $98,000.

Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant's placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
