The data team at Spring includes a number of embedded analysts who are the analytics experts within cross functional teams. We’re looking to expand this team, adding an embedded analyst to our customer experience team. In this role you’ll work with a cross functional team (customer success, product, engineering, data science, etc) to help prioritize and deliver on high impact data requests coming from our customers and customer success team, directly impacting the experience that our largest customers have with Spring Health.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work with the Customer Experience team to understand current data assets, needs, and gaps
  • Build a strong relationship with the customer success team, this role’s main stakeholder group and our direct line to customers
  • Design and then build specialized dashboards and reports that our customers need to understand how Spring is positively impacting their specific business
  • Collaborate with the core BI and data engineering teams to revise data pipelines when necessary (you will have the chance to get your hands dirty in DBT)
  • Monitor and manage the integrity of the data within the tools you build to ensure data accuracy
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and operations, and how they tie into Spring Health’s business context
  • Work with a product manager to prioritize inbound requests, using business context and collaboration with stakeholders to determine the order in which to approach problems

What success looks like in this role:

  • Client satisfaction with Spring reporting
  • Increased efficiency of custom reporting processes

What we expect from you

  • You are passionate about changing the face of mental health care and Spring Health’s mission to remove all barriers to mental health resonates with you
  • You have 5+ years of working experience working with data, data visualization, and dashboarding tools
  • You have strong user empathy - you can deeply understand the core issues stakeholders are having and translate them into solutions that meaningfully improve their ability to operate
  • You are an expert in SQL, and are willing to roll up your sleeves and dive into writing some modeling code in DBT when the data you need isn’t already available.
  • You have experience working with Looker or other similar data visualization tools (tableau, etc), both creating the data model and building dashboards
  • You focus on impact, finding the things you can deliver that deliver the most value for your stakeholders
  • You have exceptional communication skills, and are comfortable working independently with executive level team members
  • You are humble, highly motivated, and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • You have a proven ability to proactively manage your own priorities and dependencies in alignment with cross-functional dependencies and product/business impact
  • You have a passion for successfully navigating ambiguous problem areas and learning new approaches

What we’d love to see (bonus)

  • You have experience working directly with customers for data requests
  • You don’t take no for an answer, and enjoy finding work arounds for limitations in data to get stakeholders the answers they need
  • You have experience working with a cloud-based data warehouse to access data (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Table, etc)
