World Learning's Academic Exchange team seeks a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst and System Administrator to lead the Lightning migration of its current Salesforce org for the Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP). The FSP, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), supports approximately 425 U.S. academics and professionals each year to engage in short-term, collaborative projects at host institutions abroad that build capacity and promote mutual understanding between Americans and individuals in over 150 countries. The Senior Salesforce Business Analyst and System Administrator will serve as the lead product owner of the Lightning migration and provide key oversight of an external Salesforce development firm that will execute the migration. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring that the migration captures all programmatic workflows and business requirements and will lead a holistic change management plan for all user groups.

ABOUT GLOBAL PROGRAMS

This position will be a part of the Global Programs unit of World Learning which designs, implements, monitors, and evaluates global development and exchange programs. We work with various donors, including DOS and the U.S. Agency for International Development, to achieve immediate impact and sustainable outcomes. Consistent with our organization's status as both a global nonprofit and an accredited institution of higher education, we prioritize experiential programs that are grounded in theory, proven in practice, and lift up diverse voices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary product owner and provide direct oversight of an external Salesforce development firm that will execute the Lightning migration of the existing FSP org. This includes approving all user stories, conducting all user acceptance training, and ensuring adequate documentation of Salesforce solution.
  • Carry out basic functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields, and other routine tasks to support the migration.
  • Analyze and provide active recommendations for any third-party applications that may be required.
  • Lead change management processes for all user groups, including World Learning program staff and external stakeholders, by developing user-friendly training materials and conducting live, tailored trainings for all user groups.
  • Following the successful migration, monitor feedback from all user groups and troubleshoot any reported concerns.
  • Document future-state enhancements throughout the development and go-live periods.
Requirements

Required Experience/Education:
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least seven years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the location where this position is offered.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Sales Cloud.
  • Experience with the development and operations of a state-of-the-art online portal for program applications and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of operations of DOS-funded academic exchanges, including participant recruitment, selection, placement, and advising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a constantly changing environment.
  • Cross-cultural appreciation, sensitivity, and understanding.
