Job Summary: 

The Principal Enterprise Architect is a senior individual contributor within Solutions Consulting, providing technical leadership for Reltio’s most complex and strategically significant global sales engagements. This role fuses world-class enterprise architecture depth with visionary pre-sales leadership on Reltio's most critical, complex, and innovative engagements globally. Reporting into Presales, this individual partners exceptionally closely with Product Management, Field CTO’s, Engineering, and the Sales Account teams.  This role operates as a two-way bridge between the field and the roadmap at a strategic level, carrying customer and competitive intelligence into product direction and bringing emerging platform capabilities into the market ahead of competitors.  

Leveraging deep expertise in master data management, data unification, AI, and enterprise architecture, this individual engages C-suite executives like CDOs, Chief Architects, CIOs, and CTOs  at the world's leading organizations to architect how Reltio, as part of SAP Business Data Cloud, transforms their most complex enterprise data landscapes. Beyond winning landmark deals, the Principal Enterprise Architect defines industry best practices, shapes Reltio's technology vision through their partnership with Product Management, and mentors the next generation of technical leaders within Reltio. They are an influential technical voice in the company, connecting what the field sees to what the solution becomes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic pre-sales and enterprise architecture

• Serve as a principal technical advisor for Reltio’s most complex and strategically significant global sales opportunities, independently defining architectural approaches and resolving critical technical issues in partnership with account teams.
• Define and maintain reusable enterprise reference architectures and integration blueprints, including SAP integration patterns and SAP Business Data Cloud alignment. Partner with Solutions Consulting, Product Management, and Engineering to drive their adoption and inform longer-term solution direction.
• Co-create and evangelize transformative solution visions with C-level executives, demonstrating how Reltio unlocks unprecedented business value through advanced data unification, AI, and the Autonomous Enterprise.
• Set the technical objectives, success criteria, and architectural approach for proof-of-value engagements with strategic (lighthouse) customers, resolving novel challenges where requirements or product capabilities are evolving and translating validated approaches into reusable field guidance.
• Own the technical strategy and architectural narrative on landmark, multi-year, multi-million-dollar pursuits within a MEDDPICC-driven sales process.
• Define success measures with Solutions Consulting and Product leadership and evaluate the impact of strategic architecture initiatives, including technical success in priority pursuits, adoption of reusable solution patterns, and validated customer insights that inform product decisions.

Product Management partnership (core to this role)

• Establish a structured process with Product Management and Field CTOs to synthesize customer, competitive, and architectural insights into recommendations for product strategy and roadmap prioritization. 
• Partner with Product Management on the highest-stakes pursuits, co-developing solution approaches for capabilities that are emerging, in early release, or on the roadmap.
• Validate and pressure-test pre-release and early-access capabilities in demanding deal contexts, feeding practical, architecture-grounded insight back to product and engineering.
• Lead cross-functional resolution of strategic architectural issues spanning Solutions Consulting, Product Management, and Engineering, securing alignment on recommendations that support long-term customer and business objectives that drive Reltio's long-term technology vision and market leadership.
• Steward strategic design-partner and co-innovation relationships between marquee customers and Product Management.

Industry leadership, enablement, and influence

• Define and champion innovative solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices that set the standard across the Solutions Consulting organization and the broader industry.
• Develop the architectural capabilities of senior Solutions Consulting ICs, including Principal Solutions Consultants, through mentorship, design reviews, and reusable guidance to strengthen technical excellence across the organization. 
• Represent Reltio as a leading industry expert and thought leader at prominent conferences, executive councils, with industry analysts, and in critical publications and speaking engagements.
• Influence market perception and competitive positioning through deep technical insight and strategic communication.
• Build and nurture strategic technical alliances and partnerships that extend Reltio's reach and capabilities.

Skills You Must Have: 

• Minimum 15 years of pre-sales, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture experience in enterprise software, with an extensive, demonstrable track record on highly complex, strategic data unification, AI, and platform engagements;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or experience in a deeply related technical field. 
• Recognized as a leading expert in enterprise data architecture, master data management, cloud-native technologies, and advanced AI/ML applications, with the credibility to advise Chief Architects and CDOs.
• Proven ability to design and defend end-to-end solution architectures within the most complex, heterogeneous enterprise environments.
• Exceptional ability to engage, influence, and build trusted advisor relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CDOs, and other C-suite executives at Fortune 500 companies.
• Proven experience shaping and winning landmark, multi-year, multi-million-dollar enterprise software deals on a global scale.
• Deep experience working directly with Product Management, translating field and customer insight into product direction and bringing roadmap awareness into strategic engagements.
• Deep expertise in enterprise data platforms, master data management, and data unification, with the ability to develop expert-level command of Reltio’s platform and architecture. 
• Ability to evaluate emerging technology trends and translate them into practical recommendations for customer architecture, product direction, and field strategy. 
• Superior communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, capable of inspiring diverse, high-level audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives through influence, align cross-functional teams, and mentor senior technical professionals without direct reporting authority. 
• Demonstrated experience advising senior customer leaders on enterprise data strategy and long-term transformation roadmaps.

Skills That Are Nice to Have:  

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related advanced technical field.
• Hands-on architectural expertise and at least one certification with a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with the SAP ecosystem and SAP Business Data Cloud, and with integrating third-party platforms into SAP landscapes.
• Prior experience in a product-facing, field-CTO, or design-partner role that formalized the presales–product feedback loop.
• A frequent event speaker or author of content in data unification, AI, distributed systems, or enterprise architecture.
• Proven ability to invent and prototype novel solutions to previously unsolved business or technical challenges.
• Ability to build productive relationships with industry experts, technology partners, and customer architecture leaders.
