Position Overview

Quatrain Creative, a content marketing agency, is seeking long term relationships with experienced B2B-focused writers. Assignments include case studies, blogs, e-books, white papers, emails, newsletters, web copy, infographics, and sales decks. We are also looking for writers who love to be client-facing and can assist with SME calls-anything from developing questions and call agendas to leading the call and interviewing SMEs. It's not necessary to have expertise in all of these areas-we are looking to work with multiple writers who can be matched with assignments that fit their strengths.

Many of our clients are in the tech space, so candidates should have a good grasp of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex and sometimes unfamiliar information into clear, attention-grabbing communications. They should be able to develop pieces that speak to C-suite executives and key decision-makers who may not have technical backgrounds.

This is a work from home, per-project basis. Good communication and attention to details and deadlines are critical in this position.

Please include samples of relevant B2B work-such as a blog post, case study, or e-book-from industries such as tech, insurance, finance, healthcare, or education.

Only applications that include 2-3 relevant samples of B2B work will be considered.

The ideal candidate:

  • Can work autonomously, diving into background sources to pull out relevant information and develop a compelling narrative that matches the client's voice.
  • Can deliver high-quality content on time and communicate closely with Quatrain leadership on projects
  • Ensures all written deliverables are edited, proofread, and client-ready with minimal need for revisions
  • Optimizes all content, making sure each piece adheres to brand guidelines, style, tone, etc. and is grammatically correct and consistent
  • Possesses excellent project management, time-management, and communication skills
  • Is fluent in English, both written and spoken essential
  • Will develop a working knowledge of the subject matter through additional research and self-education, as needed, to inform their writing
  • Asks good questions and takes the initiative to clarify any points of confusion and familiarize themselves with new concepts
  • Can assess source material (from interviews, other existing verbiage, or a basic outline) and strategize an effective way to present it through written content that explains and communicates key messages
  • Has experience learning and writing about new or complex topics
  • Has experience writing engaging content for niche B2B audiences
  • Has familiarity with SEO best practices and web traffic metrics
  • Has deep knowledge of AP Style writing standards

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of working experience as a B2B content creator
  • Creative abilities to produce engaging and compelling content
  • Ability to expertly lead client and SME calls, driving productive discussion and nurturing client relationships
  • The ability to translate highly technical and complex topics into captivating, informative, and digestible content
  • Strong knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels
  • Experience with keyword placement and SEO best practices
  • Experience writing for a senior executive audience
  • Previous experience with B2B SaaS
