Job DetailsSalary Range: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 Salary/yearPosition Summary NFTE is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven leader to serve as Director, Revenue & Strategic Partnerships. Reporting to the Chief Growth & Delivery Officer, this role is responsible for leading NFTE's earned revenue strategy, driving sustainable growth, and expanding the organization's reach through education partnerships, strategic alliances, and new market opportunities. The Director serves as both a strategic leader and an active seller, personally leading NFTE's largest and most complex partnership opportunities while coaching and developing a high-performing Revenue & Strategic Partnerships team. This leader is accountable for achieving earned revenue goals, developing scalable partnership strategies, expanding into new markets, and building long-term relationships that increase NFTE's impact and financial sustainability. Serving as the voice of the market, the Director brings customer insights, industry trends, and partnership opportunities into organizational planning and works closely with Product, Program Growth & Delivery, Marketing, Advancement, and Executive Leadership to align growth strategies with implementation capacity, innovation, and organizational priorities. Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnerships & Revenue Generation (40%) Personally own and lead NFTE's highest-value enterprise, statewide, national, international, and strategic partnership opportunities. Develop, cultivate, negotiate, and close complex, multi-year partnerships with school districts, state agencies, ministries of education, workforce organizations, corporations, foundations, nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, and international partners. Lead executive-level sales conversations from initial engagement through contract execution. Develop innovative partnership structures that align partner needs with NFTE's mission, programs, and long-term growth strategy. Identify and secure new revenue opportunities that diversify earned revenue and expand organizational impact. Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic accounts to support long-term partnership success, renewal, and expansion. Represent NFTE at conferences, convenings, industry events, and executive meetings to strengthen relationships and generate new business opportunities. Revenue Leadership & Sales Performance (20%) Own annual earned revenue goals for the Revenue & Strategic Partnerships function. Develop and execute the annual sales strategy, including market priorities, territory planning, revenue targets, and growth initiatives. Establish annual revenue goals, pipeline expectations, and performance metrics for the team. Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and conversion metrics. Personally engage in high-value opportunities to accelerate deal progression, remove barriers, and support successful outcomes. Evaluate market opportunities and adjust sales strategies based on customer needs, organizational priorities, and market conditions. Team Leadership & Performance (20%) Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a high-performing Revenue & Strategic Partnerships team. Establish clear performance expectations, revenue goals, and accountability measures. Coach team members in consultative selling, relationship management, negotiation, and strategic account growth. Lead weekly pipeline reviews, opportunity strategy sessions, forecast discussions, and performance coaching. Develop individual growth plans and succession opportunities that strengthen the long-term capacity of the Revenue & Strategic Partnerships team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, customer focus, continuous improvement, and accountability. Lead by example through active participation in partnership development and strategic selling. Revenue Management & Operational Excellence (10%) Own overall earned revenue performance and forecast accuracy for the Revenue & Strategic Partnerships function. Partner with the Lead Revenue Operations Specialist to ensure accurate CRM data, pipeline visibility, proposal management, forecasting, reporting, and operational discipline. Review revenue performance against goals and implement corrective strategies when needed. Use market intelligence and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement across the sales organization. Ensure consistent business development practices across the team. Organizational Leadership & Cross Functional Collaboration (10%) Partner with Product and Curriculum teams to ensure customer insights and market intelligence inform product innovation and future offerings. Collaborate with Program Growth & Delivery to align implementation capacity with partnership commitments and customer success. Work with Marketing to strengthen market positioning, demand generation, thought leadership, and customer engagement. Coordinate with Advancement to identify opportunities that align philanthropy, sponsorship, and earned revenue strategies. Serve as the voice of the customer by bringing partner feedback, market intelligence, and emerging trends into organizational planning and strategic decision making. QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, strategic partnerships, revenue growth, or market expansion. Proven success achieving revenue goals while leading, coaching, and developing high-performing business development teams. Demonstrated success developing and closing complex, high-value partnerships across multiple sectors. Experience managing complex sales pipelines and executive-level relationships. Strong strategic planning, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Preferred: Experience within education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, nonprofit, edtech, economic mobility, or social impact organizations. Experience developing new markets and strategic partnership initiatives. Experience working across domestic and international markets. Experience building or scaling an earned revenue or business development function. Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms. Candidates located in states where NFTE currently has programs are preferred, including Florida, Georgia, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, Arizona, and California. The Director has personally secured transformational partnerships while developing a high-performing team. Revenue forecasting and pipeline management are accurate, consistent, and trusted across the organization. Product, Marketing, Program Growth & Delivery, and Advancement are aligned around shared growth priorities. Compensation: $115,000-$125,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
