Director of Product, Insurance Platform

Veracity is looking for a Director of Product, Insurance Platform – a product leader who has built and managed complex, regulated business systems in production. Reporting to the VP of Product, you will lead the product team responsible for the technology that supports how we launch insurance products, serve customers, and operate our business.

Our platform rebuild is underway. This remote role will help shape its direction, guide delivery, and lead the transition from existing systems. You will bring practical experience making technology work in production within a regulated industry and improving it as business needs evolve.

You will lead a small team of product managers and work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Product Marketing, and Operations. Program Management and Product Marketing own insurance product strategy and commercial performance; your team owns the platform capabilities that support them.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Roadmap

• Set the platform product vision and roadmap, connecting business priorities to clear, achievable plans
• Own the ongoing improvement of the platform – using adoption, reliability, delivery speed, and business results to guide priorities
• Make it easier to launch and manage insurance products by simplifying workflows and expanding shared capabilities

Delivery & Engineering Partnership

• Lead the rebuild and migration of existing products and workflows while supporting ongoing business operations – bringing practical experience making insurance technology work in production and improving it as business needs evolve
• Partner with Engineering to build reliable, adaptable systems and evaluate when to build, buy, or improve existing technology

Business & Stakeholder Alignment

• Work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Product Marketing, and Operations to align platform capabilities with business needs – your team owns the platform capabilities that support them; Program Management and Product Marketing own insurance product strategy and commercial performance
• Work with business teams to understand customer and operational needs and turn them into useful platform capabilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a small team of product managers while staying involved in discovery, major decisions, and delivery
• Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

Required

• 7+ years of product management experience with at least 2–3 years in a product leadership or senior IC role
• Direct experience building and managing complex, regulated business systems in production – with clear examples of your role and the outcomes you drove
• Strong product management experience including setting direction, prioritizing competing needs, and delivering complex initiatives
• Experience modernizing or replacing existing systems and managing the transition for users and the business
• Experience leading and coaching product managers with a willingness to work directly through difficult problems
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and business leaders, explain tradeoffs clearly, and make decisions with incomplete information
• Experience working in a regulated industry where data integrity, audit readiness, and compliance obligations shape how systems are configured

Preferred

• Direct experience building and managing insurance systems in production – quoting, rating, policy administration, billing, or servicing
• Deep understanding of insurance workflows and how agency management systems support the full policy lifecycle
• Experience across insurance distribution models including MGA, wholesale brokerage, retail agency, or InsurTech

Compensation Range: $150k/yr - $180k/yr
