Customer Service Representative -Produce Industry

About the role

EXP Group is looking for a Customer Service Representative to support customer accounts, billing, and collections. We're especially interested in candidates with experience in the produce or fresh food industry, since the pace, seasonality, and customer relationships in this business differ from general customer service work.

What you'll do

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide day-to-day account support
• Support vendor and customer onboarding
• Process invoices, apply and track payments, and resolve billing discrepancies
• Perform credit checks and help maintain credit limits and account holds
• Follow up on past-due accounts via phone and email; escalate when needed
• Analyze aging reports and support cash flow and collections goals
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate across teams to optimize workflows

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service, collections, or accounts receivable required
• Experience in the produce or fresh food distribution industry strongly preferred
• Fluent English required, both written and spoken; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
• Able to work Eastern Time business hours
• Experience with Famous Software a plus
• Comfortable with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar finance/ERP systems
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage a portfolio of accounts independently
