Climate Collective Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting climate tech startups. We work within the climate ecosystem to foster innovation by connecting startups with funding, investors, education, and accelerator programs. Our remote team of 60 members operates collaboratively to drive impactful, sustainable solutions for climate-related challenges. 

About the Role 

As an associate with Climate Collective, you will be instrumental in driving the strategy, business development, and execution of CCF’s diverse program portfolio. This role is central to advancing CCF’s offerings, which span startup acceleration, capacity building for aspiring entrepreneurs, community, and broader ecosystem engagements (e.g., convenings, establishing networks). 
The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, program management expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset to engage various stakeholder groups effectively. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Program Strategy, Business Development & Execution 

  • Program Strategy & Business Development Support: Support the strategy and business development efforts for CCF’s initiatives by assisting in identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, conducting research, and supporting the creation of strategic partnerships to scale programs. 

  • Startup Acceleration Program Support: Support the planning, execution, coordination, and reporting of assigned startup acceleration programs, ensuring smooth delivery and effective participant engagement. 

  • Capacity Building & Ecosystem Program Support: Support the design and execution of capacity-building and ecosystem programs for diverse stakeholders. Assist in developing and maintaining program materials, coordinating participant outreach, and supporting learning activities. 

  • Program Operations & Logistics: Support day-to-day program operations, including application processes, participant onboarding, program timelines, mentor matching, session scheduling, and coordination of virtual and in-person program activities. Maintain dashboards, trackers, and program documentation to monitor cohort engagement and deliverables. 

2. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement 

  • Stakeholder Engagement Support: Serve as a key point of contact for assigned startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, and program participants. Support ongoing engagement through regular communication, check-ins, feedback collection, and coordination to enhance program delivery. 

  • Ecosystem Building Support: Support the identification, outreach, and onboarding of mentors, speakers, industry experts, and ecosystem partners for various programs and initiatives. 

  • Outreach & Research Support: Support outreach campaigns targeting startups, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders. Conduct market research, ecosystem scans, and secondary research to identify promising startups, emerging trends, and new innovation opportunities. 

3. Communications & Impact 

  • Content Development Support: Collaborate with the marketing and program teams to support the development of program decks, curriculum materials, newsletters, social media content, and other knowledge resources. 

  • Reporting & Impact Support: Contribute to the preparation of impact reports, program reports, startup case studies, and other documentation highlighting program outcomes and learnings. 

  • Team Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with CCF teams to ensure effective coordination, knowledge sharing, and alignment of activities with overall program goals and organizational priorities. 



Requirements

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as (e.g., Environmental Studies, Business, Communications, Engineering or a related area)- 

  • 5 - 8 years of professional experience in program management, community building, or partnerships ideally in the development, climate, or entrepreneurship sectors  

  • Passion for climate tech and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact. 

  • Proven experience in managing stakeholders, coordinating multi-partner initiatives, and maintaining partnerships. 

Skills Required 

  • Strong program management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders. 

  • Ability to develop and review content for presentations, reports, outreach material, and knowledge resources 

  • Strong analytical and research abilities, including data interpretation and reporting 

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments with cross-functional teams 

  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination capabilities 

  • Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability.
