Vice President - Sales (NP)
We are looking for a Vice President of Sales (Nonprofit) to help us support our continued growth within the social impact sector. This person will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with both current and prospective clients while collaborating with our Business Development and Delivery teams throughout the sales cycle.
You will own the full responsibility for Nonprofit sales within our Impact portfolio, driving growth and executing sales strategies that align with our company’s vision and revenue goals. You will be accountable for industry-specific best practices, sales team leadership, pipeline generation, bookings goals, and ensuring the quality of bookings supports revenue and other delivery objectives within the Nonprofit market.
This high-impact role requires a dynamic leader who can build and scale a team, drive sales execution, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and our sales team, guiding them through their digital transformation journey.
Role Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the sales strategy, execution, and success for the Nonprofit team
- Maintain industry and company best practices for sales execution, pipeline management, and customer engagement.
- Oversee pipeline generation goals, bookings goals, and quality of bookings to support revenue achievement and long-term growth targets of the market
- Partner with marketing and business development teams to ensure alignment on lead generation strategies and execution.
- Demonstrate thought leadership by integrating innovative Sales strategies that reflect an understanding of the impact that AI is having on the market, and collaborating with delivery and leadership on the ways that AI impacts the shape and structure of our project work.
- Engage with executive-level leaders at national and regional nonprofits to grow our customer base and win business with "new logo" accounts.
- Create detailed business and territory plans to facilitate the attainment of annual goals and quotas, working alongside our BDR team
- Responsible for strategy on creating new opportunities through outbound outreach and industry networking (e.g., Dreamforce, NTC/NTEN) to turn prospects into long-term mission partners.
- Manage the entire customer relationship lifecycle from from finding a prospect to securing a business contract to helping our delivery team successful complete the project
- Lead compelling discovery conversations that uncover a nonprofit’s programmatic goals, fundraising hurdles, and constituent engagement objectives.
- Build long-term partnerships through a consultative sales approach that aligns our solutions with customer business objectives.
- Partner with Salesforce RVPs and AVPs to drive new opportunities and strengthen our presence within the ecosystem.
- Provide oversight and guidance on deal structuring, including pricing strategies, estimating, and contract negotiations.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team, providing strategic guidance and hands-on coaching.
- Foster a culture of collaboration between sales, delivery, and business unit leadership to ensure smooth execution from opportunity to project delivery.
- Own forecasting and pipeline management practices to maintain visibility into business health and drive predictability.
- Ensure all sales cycles are managed efficiently, maintaining a balance of speed and thoroughness in deal execution.
- Drive internal collaboration with delivery teams to ensure customer success and seamless project execution.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to establish credibility and thought leadership.
- Travel is required to support the sales cycles to close business
Experience/Skills Required:
- 10+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Consulting within the Salesforce ecosystem or related SaaS consulting space.
- Experience with multi-cloud Salesforce configurations in the Nonprofit industry
- Proven track record of growing and managing an industry-specific portfolio with $25M+ in annual bookings.
- Strong leadership experience, including managing and scaling quota-carrying sales teams.
- Experience leading complex sales cycles, including stakeholder alignment, contract negotiation, and execution.
- Ability to influence C-level executives, guiding them through strategic decision-making and solution alignment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to drive data-driven sales decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel is required to support sales cycles and client engagements.
- Must have full-time permanent US work authorization.
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Salesforce Consultant, preferably at an implementation partner
