Job Description Summary GE Aerospace's Defense and Systems Contracts organization is a critical team member, and a trusted and proactive business partner to the product lines within the business. Contracts is the face of GE Aerospace to the US government acquisition commands and airframer procurement customers. We are charged with cradle to grave contract management duties in all phases of a program, from proposal strategy through the full development, production, and sustainment life cycle. Contracts provides expert knowledge in customer relationships, regulations, contract terms, price negotiation, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and scope management. This position has the responsibility to manage assigned contracts, and offer contracting solutions to meet the assigned goals of the department and business. You will be supporting GE Aerospace's contract activity (either on a prime or subcontract), this position requires solid proficiency in managing various contract types (including complex development) in both the Firm Fixed Price Contracts and the Cost Reimbursement Groups, as described in the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the DoD FAR Supplement. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Non-legal contract experts primarily supporting all phases (proposal and post contract award execution) of programs including negotiations, managing commercial issues, customer relationships, claims and disputes. Responsibilities cover the entire contracting lifecycle, from receipt of solicitation through contract close-out. Act as primary interface between GE and customers on all contractual matters. Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including regular interfacing with customers, leading negotiations, and contract interpretation. Perform proposal, negotiation, and contract administration functions on assigned proposals / contracts with minimal supervision. Provide interface liaison with functional organizations and insure proper communication of contractual requirements. Effectively interface with all functions of the business including Program Management, Sales, Engineering, Finance, Quality and Legal. Provide advice and counsel to other functional areas on contracting topics, issues, and risk mitigation strategies. This role primarily supports US Government contract activities (either on a Prime or subcontract), the position requires solid proficiency in managing various contract types (including complex development) in both the Firm Fixed Price Contracts and the Cost Reimbursement Group, as described in the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. At least 5 years of experience in government contracting and execution. Solid domain expertise with Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD FAR Supplement. This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
