About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a HR professional with a quest for knowledge and desire to learn to join a growing multinational organisation. Labcorp is looking to recruit an experienced candidate based in Eastern Europe to undertake work in the global employee relations team.

This will involve supporting a wide range of business areas across multiple countries to provide guidance to leaders and employees. The role is part of a global team based in the US, UK, EMEA, India and China. The opportunities for growth and development are only limited to the candidate's ambition.

Main responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of tasks to include the following:
  • Support and guide global leaders on employee relations matters, for example, performance issues, behavior/workplace concerns.

  • Provide coaching to support the employee experience. The goal is to increase confidence and competence of leaders.

  • Advise on processes in accordance with Labcorp policies and appropriate regulatory guidelines according to jurisdiction. (i.e., attendance issues, failure to follow SOPs, quality issues, basic investigations, and performance matters).

  • Participate in various global employee relations projects and activities.

  • Partner with team members from other centres of excellence, such as the global HR Partner team.

  • Provide information to ensure compliance within appropriate jurisdictions and local requirements.

  • Assist with coordination and delivery of training for managers by working with the Global ER Learning and Development lead.

  • Supply additional intelligence around case numbers for business units and country to ensure proactive ER activities.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Degree educated with professional qualification desirable.

  • HR Subject Matter Expertise within Employee Relations and experience across HR disciplines.

  • Minimum 5 years employee relations experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist legal or employment law qualifications.

Skills and Competencies:

  • HR experience and interest in employee relations.

  • Experience of working in a global, matrix organisation.

  • Employee Relations experience in more than one country.

  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws.

  • Desire and interest to learn additional employment laws and practices globally.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Strong investigation skills.

  • Ability to summarize information succinctly both verbally and in writing.

  • Flexibility and willingness to deal with competing priorities.

  • Strong customer service focus and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to assist others and adapt to focusing on where workload is high.

  • Good prioritization skills and ability to focus on time-sensitive issues.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Willingness to operate in a global team and flow to the work.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to look at a process with a view to continuous improvement.

Additional requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken business English

  • German/French - desirable, not essential

  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel

  • Ability to support various time zones over a flexible work pattern (whilst complying with working time provisions for the country where the successful candidate resides)

  • Dependent on location of successful applicant, this may be office or hybrid.

  • Minimal travel (5-10%) may be required locally or internationally.
