Job Summary:

About the Team

You'll join Chargebee's North America Enterprise Account Management team, part of the global Customer Organization. Our mission is to retain and grow our largest, most strategic customers by driving measurable business outcomes, deep product adoption, and lasting partnerships.

The team operates in pod structures, pairing Account Managers (AM) with 1–2 Technical Success Managers (TSM) and supported by Customer Operations, Product, and Deal Desk. We collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Implementation, and GTM teams to ensure customers see value at every stage.

While our customer team spans North America, EMEA, and APAC, this role focuses on strategic accounts across North America, engaging executive stakeholders across time zones.

About the Role

Our most strategic enterprise customers don't just need an account manager — they need a trusted advisor and executive partner who understands their business deeply, shows up with insight and intention, and helps them get more value from Chargebee year after year.

As a Senior Enterprise Account Manager, you'll own relationships with Chargebee's most complex and highest-value accounts in North America. This is a relationship-first, value-led role. You'll be the primary executive contact for your customers — building deep multi-stakeholder partnerships, designing and facilitating high-impact EBRs and in-person workshops, and translating Chargebee's capabilities into measurable business outcomes that resonate at the C-suite level.

Commercial outcomes — renewals, expansions, and NRR growth — are the natural result of doing this job well. But the path to those outcomes runs through trust, strategic alignment, and consistent value delivery, not a sales motion.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Executive Relationship Management
Build and maintain deep, multi-threaded executive relationships across your portfolio — including CFOs, VPs of Finance, COOs, and business unit leaders.
Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for your most complex accounts, acting as a trusted advisor who understands each customer's business priorities and long-term goals.
Navigate complex organizational dynamics, identify and develop new champions, and ensure Chargebee has strong relationships above and below the day-to-day contact.

Value Articulation & Executive Business Reviews
Design and facilitate high-impact Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) that connect Chargebee's product value to customers' financial outcomes and strategic priorities.
Lead in-person onsite workshops and executive sessions that deepen partnership, surface strategic opportunities, and accelerate alignment.
Build compelling, data-driven narratives that translate platform usage and adoption into measurable ROI — making the value of Chargebee visible and undeniable to executive stakeholders.
Tailor every customer interaction to the audience — presenting differently for a CFO than for a billing manager, and knowing exactly what each stakeholder needs to hear.

Strategic Account Planning
Develop and own multi-year account strategies that align customer business objectives with Chargebee's product roadmap and capabilities.
Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and white space — anticipating customer needs before they surface rather than reacting to them after.
Partner closely with Technical Success Managers to ensure seamless coordination across the pod, driving product adoption and resolving challenges before they escalate.
Leverage AI tools to research accounts, surface churn signals, identify expansion opportunities, and build data-driven account narratives at scale.

Renewal & Expansion Ownership
Own the renewal cycle end-to-end for your portfolio, ensuring customers are continuously realizing value and renewing with confidence.
Identify and develop organic expansion opportunities that emerge naturally from strong relationships and deep product adoption — not from a cold commercial motion.
Collaborate with Deal Desk, Finance, and GTM teams to structure and close renewal and expansion agreements.
Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility across your book of business.

Internal Leadership & Enablement
Contribute to the broader Customer organization by sharing learnings, refining playbooks, and mentoring peers.
Advocate for customer needs cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM — translating customer feedback into actionable product insights.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of account management, customer success, or strategic partnership experience in SaaS, with a minimum of 4 years managing enterprise or global accounts.
  • Proven track record of building and managing executive-level relationships — including CFOs, VPs of Finance, COOs, and C-suite stakeholders — within large, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating high-impact EBRs, QBRs, and in-person executive workshops that drive strategic alignment and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong value articulation skills — able to connect product usage data to business outcomes and present ROI in language that resonates at the board level.
  • Experience developing multi-year account strategies and proactively managing churn risk across a portfolio of strategic accounts.
  • Collaborative operator who thrives in a pod model — comfortable working alongside technical counterparts and knowing when to lead vs. support.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills across a wide range of personas and seniority levels.
  • AI aptitude — actively uses AI tools to improve account strategy, research, communication, and execution. Comfortable learning and adopting new AI-powered workflows as they evolve.
  • Proactive, strategic ownership mindset — someone who anticipates needs rather than reacts to them.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for in-person customer engagements and workshops.

Skills and Experience:

AI Aptitude

Chargebee is building AI capabilities into the DNA of our organization. We expect our Senior Enterprise AMs to be AI-native operators — not just AI-aware. This means:

  • Proactively using AI tools to research accounts, surface churn risk, generate EBR narratives, and identify expansion signals.

  • Leveraging AI-assisted workflows to operate efficiently and strategically across a complex, high-value book of business.

  • Staying current on how AI is reshaping billing, revenue operations, and the SaaS landscape — and bringing those insights to executive customer conversations.

  • Demonstrating curiosity and a bias toward experimentation with new AI tools as they emerge.

AI aptitude will be assessed as a baseline expectation starting at the recruiter screen stage.
