Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Assist the Placement Director in mentoring and developing the placement team.
- Manage daily operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflows and processes.
- Strategy & Planning:
- Support the creation, oversight, and reporting on the metric-based Lamb Quoting System.
- Analyze market trends and carrier capabilities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with the team director to set targets and objectives.
- Carrier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers.
- Evaluate the performance of markets and provide feedback for improvement.
- Proper utilization of Caffeine to organize and prioritize opportunities - new / renewal business
- Process Oversight:
- Ensure timely and successful placements by coordinating with the sales team.
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of business submissions to carriers.
- Insurance Expertise:
- Deep understanding of insurance coverages and ability to articulate needs to carriers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Property & Casualty Broker.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skill & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of insurance coverages and ability to articulate needs to carriers
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Effective leader and team management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using insurance-related software and tools
