Reporting to the IT Procurement Manager, the IT Procurement Analyst is responsible for the successful delivery of procurement projects and contracts within an assigned portfolio of IT goods and services.
As a key member of the IT Goods and Services Procurement (ITP) team, you will partner with business areas to achieve effective procurement outcomes that balance value, risk management, compliance, and strategic objectives. This role is instrumental in supporting procurement planning, contract execution, data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to the Ministry's broader goals.
The IT Procurement Analyst develops and executes procurement activities and contracts while ensuring alignment with Government of Alberta policies, trade agreement obligations, and procurement best practices. The position also supports procurement reporting, contract oversight, and projects of varying complexity, while providing guidance and mentorship to IT Procurement Officers as required.
Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization. The IT Procurement Analyst serves as a trusted partner, facilitating procurement activities and helping ensure transparent, compliant, and efficient procurement processes.
