Summary:
The Finance Analyst does the financial analysis and transaction work behind the Enterprise Laboratory Instrument Services (ELIS) program. Billing preparation, cost analysis, spend reporting, accrual work and the monthly close support that keeps the program’s numbers defensible.

The role is remote and reports to the Manager, Program Finance. It works closely with the Accounts Payable Coordinators, the Program Analyst, and the Site Operations Managers.

What you will do:
Billing support:

Prepare the monthly billing file against the contractual pricing structure, including headcount lines, rate lines and pass-through.

Check each billed line traces to a contractual basis, and query what does not before it is issued.

Prepare supporting details for client billing queries and resolve them with evidence.

Track billed versus contracted headcount and flag divergence.

Cost and spend analysis:

Analyze cost by site, region, service line and cost type, and explain movement.

Analyze third-party spend against contract and entitlement position with Sourcing and Payments.

Produce site-level budget versus actual reporting in a form the sites can use.

Support the analysis behind conversion, capacity and headcount decisions with real loaded cost.

Close and reconciliation:

Prepare accruals, prepayments and journal support for the monthly close.

Reconcile program accounts to the general ledger and investigate differences.

Reconcile the open purchase order and commitment position with the Accounts Payable Coordinators.

Maintain the documented calculation method behind each recurring report.

Reporting integrity:

State the basis of any figure produced, including the period, the source and any adjustment applied.

Support internal and client audits with traceable work.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in financial analysis, management accounting, billing or a comparable finance role.

Demonstrated experience preparing billing against a contract, including checking the contractual basis of a billed line.

Experience with accruals, reconciliation and monthly close support.

Strong spreadsheet capability including pivot, lookup and reconciliation techniques.

Experience with an enterprise resource planning and reporting environment.

Demonstrated willingness to query a number rather than process it.

Experience in a services, outsourcing or regulated technical service environment preferred.

Education/Special Training:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business preferred. Equivalent experience considered.

Training in GxP, data integrity and financial control provided or required.

Financial system and CMMS training provided after hire.

Traceability - states the basis of every figure produced.

Curiosity - queries a number that looks wrong rather than reformatting it.

Practicality - gives the sites a number they can act on and explain.

Follow-through - closes out the reconciliation difference rather than carrying it.

Communication - explains a financial position to people who do not work in finance.

Integrity - can admit mistakes, is direct and truthful, and acts in the best interest of clients, employees and Renovo.

Success Measures:

Billing file accuracy, measured as client queries and credits raised

Billed lines traceable to a contractual basis

Close deliverables completed on schedule

Reconciliation differences investigated and closed

Site-level budget versus actual reporting delivered and used

Figures reconciled across reports with no conflicting answers published

Cost analysis supporting conversion and capacity decisions

Audit outcomes on financial working

Safety Requirements:

Abide by and follow Renovo safety policies, procedures, and injury and illness prevention expectations.

Maintain a safe working environment for self and others when visiting customer sites, laboratories, offices, or operational environments.

Follow applicable customer site safety requirements, OSHA guidelines, and laboratory or facility-specific procedures as required.

Complete required safety training assignments on time.

Physical Requirements:

Remote, office-based work.

No routine client site presence. Where a site visit is required, presence in active laboratory environments with required personal protective equipment.

Travel approximately 5 percent, for training and program meetings.
