Accounting General Department 

Vantage Accounting Operations is a shared services team responsible for accurately and efficiently recording financial transactions while building positive financial relationships with customers and vendors across North America. 

The team coordinates the entry, review, and approval of day-to-day transaction processing in accordance with financial policies and department SLAs. The team members proactively engage in solving problems through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in the development and implementation of continuous process improvements by maximizing the use of our technology resources, and continuing education to improve accounting operational efficiency through assessing, standardizing, and streamlining day-to-day processes. The team behaves with integrity, synergy, flexibility, respect, and initiative. 

Position Overview 

Vantage is looking for an autonomous, detail-oriented, high-performing Accounting Manager to work with our Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment. You will play a critical role in the monthly close process by driving the preparation of support for certain journal entries and reconciliations. 

You will have opportunities to work with the global finance team and support cross departmental function through helping design global allocation processes. You will assist in financial reporting activities, including preparation of monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting. You will also assist in non-routine projects as they arise. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Review invoices, journal entries and other transactions to ensure costs are appropriately classified. 

• Support tenant billing processes by ensuring recoverable costs are accurately captured and billed in accordance with lease agreements. 

• Determine and monitor reimbursable vs non-reimbursable costs, ensuring proper treatment and report of lease-related expenditures. 

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records that support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements. 

• Research discrepancies, prepare correcting entries, and process cost reclassifications to ensure costs are recorded with the appropriate lease framework and reporting category. 

• Maintain documentation and transaction-level support to provide audit-ready traceability from original transaction through financial reporting and tenant billing. 

• Collaborate with Construction and Financial Analysis teams to ensure costs are coded correctly. 

• Assist in preparing, coordinating and providing year-end audit documentation to both internal and external auditors. 

• Quarter end fixed asset duties as needed. 

• Handle additional duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements 

Education: 

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required. 

Experience: 

• 3-4 years at a public accounting firm or 7 or more years of experience in an accounting role required 

• Real estate industry experience is preferred but not required. 

• Finance experience is preferred but not required. 

Skills: 

• Good understanding of GAAP required. 

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint 

• Ability to collaborate with individuals across the organization and “roll-up one’s sleeves” to accomplish all necessary tasks. 

• Experience with SOX preferred but not required. 

• Knowledge of Yardi preferred but not required. 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. 

• Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization. 

• Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details 

• Salary Range: $110,000 – 125,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
