About Latino Legends

At Latino Legends, we connect exceptional professionals across Latin America with world-class companies building high-performing remote teams.

We're currently partnering with a rapidly growing U.S.-based technology company transforming the specialty insurance industry through an innovative digital marketplace. Their platform enables insurance carriers, wholesalers, and brokers to collaborate more efficiently by streamlining quoting, binding, and financial workflows. Backed by a lean, ambitious team, the company values ownership, accountability, and people who thrive in fast-paced startup environments where every contribution has a meaningful impact.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the company's finance operations. This is a highly autonomous position for someone who enjoys building structure, driving financial visibility, and serving as a trusted business partner to leadership.

Rather than joining a large finance department, you'll own the finance function from end to end. You'll manage billing, accounts receivable, collections, financial reporting, forecasting, and dashboard creation while communicating directly with U.S.-based clients and providing leadership with the financial insights needed to make strategic decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a measurable impact in a growing technology company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Billing
  • Generate and issue accurate client invoices for subscription and usage-based services.

  • Maintain accounts receivable records and ensure billing cycles remain accurate and timely.

  • Monitor outstanding balances and maintain financial records.

Collections
  • Manage payment collections through professional, consistent communication with clients.

  • Resolve overdue accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships.

  • Escalate collection issues only when appropriate.

Client Communication
  • Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries, invoice questions, payment logistics, and account-related concerns.

  • Communicate confidently with U.S.-based clients in professional written and spoken English.

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Maintain revenue forecasts, cash flow projections, runway models, and other financial planning tools.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports for executive leadership.

  • Support strategic planning through accurate financial modeling.

Dashboards & Business Reporting
  • Design and maintain financial dashboards that provide actionable business insights.

  • Create reporting that supports both internal leadership and external client reporting initiatives.

  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends and opportunities.

Finance Operations
  • Perform month-end reconciliations.

  • Track company expenses and maintain financial accuracy.

  • Coordinate with external accounting, tax, and compliance partners.

  • Continuously improve finance processes and reporting systems.

Qualifications

Required
  • 4+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

  • At least 2 years working in a startup or small business environment with end-to-end ownership of finance processes.

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including financial modeling.

  • Experience building business dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience managing accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment collections.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have
  • Experience within insurance, insurtech, fintech, or SaaS companies.

  • Familiarity with U.S. B2B subscription billing models.

  • Experience using QuickBooks or comparable accounting software.

  • Basic SQL or data analysis experience.

What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes ownership, improves processes without being asked, and delivers accurate financial information that helps leadership make confident business decisions. You'll be trusted to operate independently while collaborating closely with executive leadership in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Work directly alongside executive leadership.

  • Make a visible impact in a rapidly growing technology company.

  • Enjoy significant ownership and autonomy from day one.

  • Join a collaborative, high-performing, remote-first team.

  • Help build and improve finance operations as the company scales.

If you're excited about combining finance, operations, and business strategy in a fast-paced startup environment, we'd love to hear from you.
