Director of Warehouse Operations

As the Director of Warehouse Operations at Our Home, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing our warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective distribution of our products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize warehouse processes, maximize productivity, and improve overall operational performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency and productivity.

• Oversee the overall functioning of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track warehouse performance. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends, address issues, and continuously improve warehouse operations.

• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as supply chain, transportation, and customer service, to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives.

• Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.

• Implement best practices and latest technologies to optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material handling processes.

• Evaluate and select suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of warehouse-related services.

• Monitor inventory levels and develop strategies to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory. Work closely with demand planning and procurement teams to ensure accurate forecasting.

• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance warehouse management systems (WMS) and implement automation and technology solutions to streamline warehouse operations.

• Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in warehouse management practices, equipment, and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale warehouse operations and improving operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in relevant computer software.
• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Experience in implementing process improvements and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
