Position Title: Director of Software Development

Reports To: VP - Information Technology

Installation Made Easy ("IME") provides software and process management that enable retailers and contractors to offer installed home improvements to homeowners in a convenient, consistent, and affordable manner. IME senior management has over 100 years of retail management and home improvement industry experience.

The Director of Development is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of in-house and third-party developers. This role will work closely with the VP- IT and the VP - Business Development to support new business initiatives by gathering specifications from business teams and translating those specifications into new development that aligns with the overall Information Technology strategy and structure of the company.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and will be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to critically think through all potential solutions to a business need and identify the solution that best aligns with the overall business strategy and will carry the business into the future.

Essential Functions:

Manage remote teams, including in-house developers and third-party developers located internationally;

Develop project road maps with periodic deliverables and ultimate deadlines;

Review work of developers, ensuring consistency with business strategy, simplicity, and scability;

Develop written testing plans for software enhancements or rollouts;

Manage testing plans and extract departmental feedback for any required modifications prior to implementation

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field

10+ years of experience in software development

7+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing software development teams

Preferred: Experience with accounting software and integration

Advanced knowledge of Classic ASP

Experience with C# .Net on MVC Framework with Entity Framework

TFS - Source control methodologies

Advanced SQL Server Development

SQL Server Administration

DNS/IP/Internet Routing and Naming

nTier Architecture and Software Deployment Across Multiple Tiers

API Integrations with multiple partners

Strong understanding of Agile Development Methodology

Project Management Software Experience- Smartsheet Preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
