Overview
The Director of Product, Commercial Platform in Product Management will own the end-to-end capabilities that allow Eagleview to package, price, sell, provision, entitle, meter, bill, and manage products and customer relationships at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role for a player-coach who will personally lead the hardest commercial platform problems while building and leading a team that translates commercial strategy into coordinated execution across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Business Applications, Legal, and Operations.
We are a fast paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.
This is a full-time, remote role, with a salary range of $179,100 - $227,200, bonus eligible.
Responsibilities
Role Mandate
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for Eagleview’s commercial platform, creating a coherent system from offer definition through purchase, provisioning, entitlement, consumption, billing, renewal, and change.
- Serve as the accountable Product leader for commercial platform capabilities spanning product catalog and SKUs, pricing and packaging mechanics, CPQ, ordering, account and organization management, entitlements, provisioning, usage and consumption, billing, and related commercial workflows.
- Operate as a player-coach: personally lead ambiguous, high-impact cross-functional problems while managing and developing TPMs who drive detailed execution with squads and partner teams.
- Create clear decision rights, reusable capabilities, and scalable operating mechanisms so new products, offers, pricing models, and channels can launch without one-off commercial plumbing.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the Commercial Platform product strategy, multi-year roadmap, priorities, success measures, and investment recommendations.
- Own the end-to-end product model for how Eagleview offers are defined, packaged, priced, quoted, ordered, provisioned, entitled, consumed, billed, renewed, upgraded, downgraded, and retired.
- Personally lead the most complex or ambiguous commercial platform initiatives, working directly with stakeholders and technical teams to frame problems, make trade-offs, define requirements, and drive decisions.
- Lead, coach, and develop TPMs responsible for translating platform priorities into coordinated squad-level execution, dependency management, delivery readiness, and risk escalation.
- Partner deeply with Engineering and Business Applications on platform architecture and implementation boundaries, ensuring product requirements are translated into durable capabilities rather than point solutions.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Operations, and Product leaders to establish scalable commercial policies and workflows that balance customer experience, growth, control, and operational efficiency.
- Establish a coherent product catalog, SKU, pricing, packaging, and entitlement model that supports transactional, subscription, usage-based, enterprise, and partner/channel business models as needed.
- Drive simplification and standardization across CPQ, order management, billing, provisioning, entitlement, and consumption workflows; identify and retire unnecessary manual processes and exceptions.
- Define platform contracts, guardrails, and self-service capabilities that enable other Product teams to launch and evolve offerings without recreating commercial infrastructure.
- Build the operating cadence for Commercial Platform planning, roadmap communication, intake, prioritization, dependency management, release readiness, and escalation.
- Use data and operational metrics to identify friction, failure points, cost-to-serve, leakage, adoption barriers, and opportunities to improve commercial velocity and customer experience.
- Act as the senior Product voice for Commercial Platform across the organization, simplifying complex trade-offs and creating alignment across teams that may have competing objectives.
Expected Outcomes
- A clear, scalable commercial platform strategy with explicit ownership, decision rights, roadmap, and success measures.
- Faster and more predictable launch of new products, packages, pricing models, and channels with fewer one-off implementations.
- A coherent customer and operational journey from offer through identity and access management, metering, billing, renewal, and growth.
- Reduced manual work, commercial exceptions, revenue leakage, and cross-team ambiguity across the product-access lifecycle.
- Adjacent teams operate with clear outcomes and accountability at the squad level, while the Director remains accountable for the whole commercial platform and its business outcomes.
- Strong cross-functional confidence that Commercial Platform can support Eagleview’s growth and evolving business models at scale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, Strategy, Technology, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, platform product management, commercial systems, monetization, or related leadership roles, including experience leading people or teams.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex B2B SaaS commercial capabilities such as Salesforce integrations, product catalog management, pricing and packaging, CPQ, order-to-cash or quote-to-cash, permissions, billing, subscriptions, or usage/metering.
- Proven ability to operate as a hands-on product leader: comfortable moving from executive strategy and cross-functional decisions into detailed workflow, requirements, data, and system-level problem solving when needed.
- Experience leading and developing product, program, or technical product professionals and creating accountability across multiple delivery teams.
- Strong commercial and product judgment, with the ability to connect customer experience, business models, system capabilities, operational constraints, and financial outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Business Applications, Legal, and Operations without relying only on direct authority.
Preferred
- Experience with subscription billing platforms, product catalog services, entitlement systems, or adjacent commercial technology.
- Experience supporting multiple monetization models, including transactional, subscription, usage-based, enterprise contract, and partner/channel motions.
- Experience modernizing fragmented or highly manual commercial systems and processes into reusable platform capabilities.
- Strong executive communication and ability to simplify complex commercial and technical trade-offs.
