Summary of Job Description:

The Director, Facilities is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all stores in the U.S. and Canada, establishing local, regional and national services for all trades necessary for repair and maintenance and the management of the department’s Support functions. This position integrates Facilities services with other departments (IS, RD, FAST, Operations, Asset Management, Leasing, Legal, Operations Innovation). The Director develops department strategies, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Director. This position implements process improvements, including new systems or system enhancements, and ensures high quality customer service.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for hiring, retaining, onboarding, development, and succession planning for the Facilities organization, building a high-performing team through coaching, career pathing, talent reviews, organizational capability building, and leadership pipeline development
  • Develops and executes the long-term Facilities strategy, including department policies, procedures, process improvements, and technology enhancements, aligning people, processes, systems, and investments with company growth, operational excellence, and financial objectives through collaboration with Directors, Senior Managers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Elevates business performance to provide timely, quality, and cost effective service to stores as measured by key performance metrics through vendor management, proactive planning, and disciplined follow up.
  • Elevates business performance by delivering timely, high-quality, and cost-effective facilities services, as measured in key performance metrics, through strategic vendor management, proactive planning, disciplined follow-through, and the use of business efficiency tools.
  • Leads capital and operating budget strategies and spend management through leveraging data and analytics to prioritize investments, optimize asset lifecycle management, improve equipment reliability, and maximize return on facilities investments through effective total cost of ownership planning.
  • Supports Operations by leading communications, maintaining regular business updates, taking feedback, and conducting follow ups.
  • Partners with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to align business priorities, drive enterprise-wide solutions, and support critical initiatives including crisis management, food safety, engineering, innovation, and new store growth.


Work Environment:

  • Travels to stores (local and overnight travel) 40%-50%; must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and climb on roof approximately 40 feet high and lift up to 50 lbs.

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; CRFP or equivalent certification required and maintained
  • Minimum ten years of facilities management experience, preferably in the retail/hospitality environment with prior supervisory experience
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Pay Range: M4: $161,000 - $226,000 / Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
