Accountant | US & Mexico Accounting | QuickBooks Expert | Cross-Border Financial Operations
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience supporting U.S.-based companies while operating from Mexico, combining expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with both Mexican tax regulations and U.S. accounting practices.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with QuickBooks, and the ability to manage financial processes in a fast-paced, international environment. Experience supporting industries such as Insurance, Finance, Professional Services, Real Estate, Healthcare, or Technology is highly valued.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with U.S. accounting standards and Mexican tax regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
- Process journal entries, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation and technology.
- Support cross-border financial operations between the United States and Mexico.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience supporting U.S. and/or Mexican operations.
- Advanced experience using QuickBooks Online.
- Strong understanding of Mexican tax regulations and accounting principles.
- Experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional English proficiency (B2+ preferred).
- Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment.

Accountant – Strong Fit Resume Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience supporting U.S. and/or Mexican operations.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
- Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations (SAT, CFDI, IVA, ISR, payroll tax compliance).
- Experience with General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month-End/Year-End Close.
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Experience performing Bank Reconciliations and preparing Financial Statements.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles (preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and financial compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Professional English proficiency (B2+ preferred).

- Experience working for U.S.-based companies or international finance teams.
- Knowledge of cross-border accounting between the U.S. and Mexico.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero).

- CPA, IFRS, or other accounting certifications.
