The Account Manager will own and grow an established sales territory by building long-term partnerships with contractors, engineers, and end users. They will proactively identify new business opportunities and manage the full sales lifecycle from product selection to project completion.

As the Accurex Account Manager – St. Louis, you will own and grow an established sales territory across the St. Louis market, building trusted customer partnerships while creating new business opportunities within the commercial kitchen ventilation and HVAC industry. This is a high-impact outside sales and territory management role where you will work directly with contractors, engineers, distributors, purchasing teams, and end users to understand their needs and connect them with the right Accurex solutions.
You will have the autonomy to manage your territory, develop your sales strategy, and strengthen relationships that directly influence revenue growth and long-term market expansion. Backed by a strong product portfolio, technical resources, and cross-functional support, you will combine relationship-building, technical sales, and business development to make a visible impact on the success of the territory.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Own and grow the St. Louis sales territory by developing a focused territory strategy that strengthens existing accounts, expands market share, and creates new revenue opportunities.
Build long-term customer partnerships with mechanical and HVAC contractors, engineers, distributors, purchasing teams, and end users by becoming a trusted resource for commercial kitchen ventilation and mechanical solutions.
Turn customer challenges into sales opportunities by understanding project requirements, identifying the right products and systems, and recommending solutions that deliver value throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop new business within the territory through proactive prospecting, networking, customer visits, referrals, and relationship development while continuing to grow established accounts.
Guide customers through product selection, pricing, and quoting using CAPS and other sales tools to develop accurate, competitive solutions that support successful projects.
Influence project success from opportunity through order by partnering with customers and internal engineering, inside sales, manufacturing, and technical teams to keep projects moving forward.
Strengthen Accurex's presence in the local market by developing relationships with key decision-makers and representing the business at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Use market and customer insight to drive growth, identifying emerging opportunities, competitive activity, and unmet customer needs that can shape territory priorities.
Manage your territory with ownership and accountability, balancing customer needs, sales activity, pipeline development, travel, and follow-up to achieve sales, order volume, and profitability goals.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
2–4 years of relevant experience in direct sales, outside sales, territory sales, mechanical engineering, HVAC, commercial ventilation, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Ability to build relationships, identify customer needs, and develop business across an assigned sales territory.
Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and customer relationship management skills.
Ability to independently manage priorities, customer activity, and sales opportunities in a field-based environment.
Experience with CRM platforms, AutoCAD, Inventor, CAPS, or similar technical or sales software is preferred.
SOME THINGS WE THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW
This position supports the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan market and can be based within the territory.
Remote/home-office based with significant time spent working directly with customers throughout the market.
Travel: Regular local and regional travel throughout the assigned territory is expected for customer meetings, project support, relationship development, and industry events.
You will step into an established territory with an active customer base and immediate opportunities for continued growth.
This role offers significant autonomy to manage your territory, customer relationships, and schedule while working within a collaborative sales structure.
You will receive structured onboarding, product training, and ongoing support designed to help you build technical product knowledge and succeed in the territory.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. Compensation for this role includes a base salary plus a competitive commission structure tied to performance, with anticipated total annual compensation ranging from $80,000 to $208,000.
