Lead the Management Plane team to define the technical direction and architecture for Hub, Console, Marketplace, and middleware services. Ensure these surfaces provide a coherent, reliable, and scalable experience for customers while driving operational rigor and cross-functional partnership.
The Director of Control Planes & Ecosystem will lead engineering teams to define and execute the strategy for Upbound's customer-facing control plane experience. This includes overseeing the Crossplane project, the Upbound Marketplace, and partner integrations to ensure a cohesive and scalable platform architecture.
You will build and operate Upbound Spaces in production while contributing to open-source projects like Crossplane. Additionally, you will troubleshoot complex issues in multi-tenant SaaS environments and support the full project lifecycle for scalable cloud services.
You will own the end-to-end growth funnel for the Upbound commercial platform, managing the campaign roadmap, budget, and marketing stack. This role involves building and leading a growth team while implementing AI-native workflows to optimize demand generation and conversion.
