The collector is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls to contact consumers and negotiate payment arrangements for aged medical accounts while adhering to all relevant federal, state, company, and client guidelines. Essential duties include professionally persuading patients to pay past due medical debts, overcoming objections, and accurately updating customer records with call dispositions and notes.

The collector will manage inbound and outbound calls to contact consumers, negotiating payment arrangements for early-out medical accounts while strictly adhering to all federal, state, company, and client collection guidelines and laws. Essential duties include professionally persuading patients to pay past due medical debts, overcoming objections, updating customer records accurately, and meeting departmental production standards.

The representative will manage a high volume of inbound calls, focusing on researching and responding to patient billing inquiries and negotiating payments for outstanding account balances. This role also requires communicating hospital financial policies and identifying patients who may need financial assistance.
