Who We Are

Magnit is the future of work. Serving hundreds of the world’s most recognizable brands for the past 30+ years, Magnit offers the industry’s first holistic platform for the modern workforce. Magnit's integrated workforce management (IWM) platform supported by data, software, intelligence, and best-in-class services team is key to our clients’ success. It can adapt quickly to regional or industry economic shifts, and provides the speed, scale, flexibility, transparency, and expertise required to meet an organization’s contingent workforce management, talent strategy and broader organization goals. At Magnit, you’ll work with passionate colleagues who collaborate and deliver meaningful results that positively transform the largest companies around the globe.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Vice President of Sales Operations is one of the most strategically important roles at Magnit. This leader owns the operating model that powers our entire go-to-market engine — seven interconnected functions that form a flywheel of continuous revenue momentum: CRM & Salesforce, Business Development, Inside Sales, Sales Compensation, Revenue Analytics, Sales Enablement, and Territory & Account Planning.

Unlike a traditional Sales Ops leader, the VP will be architecting and running a fully integrated system — not a support function. This role requires a builder's mindset, executive presence, and the ability to drive cross-functional accountability across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and Technology.

The VP will lead AI and commercial technology strategy, own Salesforce governance, build the revenue analytics capability, and serve as the sales leaders’ chief operating partner for all matters related to sales effectiveness and scalable growth.

THE SALES OPERATIONS FLYWHEEL

Sales Operations at Magnit is organized around seven functions that are interconnected by design — each feeding the next in a self-reinforcing cycle. The VP of Sales Operations is the architect and steward of this flywheel:

  • CRM & Salesforce Administration

The system of record for every sales motion. In contingent workforce, Salesforce tracks complex, multi-stakeholder deals across procurement, HR, and finance. Custom objects capture program-level data — headcount, spend under management, incumbent suppliers — enabling reps to enter conversations with precise account intelligence. The VP sets governance standards, drives adoption, and ensures CRM data quality underpins all forecasting and reporting.

  • Business Development Consultants (BDCs)

The outbound engine for net-new logo acquisition. BDCs focus on organizations with high contingent labor spend, expiring MSP contracts, or workforce transformation initiatives. Contingent workforce deals are long-cycle (9–18 months) and require multi-threaded relationships. The VP ensures BDC capacity, targeting, and sequencing are data-driven and aligned to ICP frameworks.

  • Inside Sales (later phase add to this role)

Inbound response, account coverage, and deal velocity. Inside Sales manages mid-market accounts, RFP responses, and spot-buy requests from existing enterprise clients. This function creates a talent pipeline into field sales and surfaces emerging buyer patterns across industries.

  • Sales Compensation

Incentive architecture that drives the right behaviors. Contingent workforce revenue spans staffing margin, program management fees, technology licensing, and MSP/RPO contract value. The VP partners with the HR and comp teams design comp plans that distinguish high-volume transactional staffing from high-value managed program wins and sets accelerators that prioritize strategic solution sales.

  • Revenue Analytics & Forecasting

The operating system for the sales organization. Revenue Analytics translates CRM and financial data into pipeline health reporting, win/loss analysis, and quarterly forecasting. Analytics teams model labor market dynamics, identify pipeline risk early, and surface patterns in win/loss data to allocate field capacity toward the highest-probability opportunities.

  • Sales Enablement

Closing the gap between strategy and execution. Enablement ensures every rep is equipped with vertical playbooks, competitive battlecards, and solution-specific messaging calibrated for HR, procurement, finance and technology stakeholders. The VP owns the new hire onboarding and ramp framework, skills coaching cadence, and content library governance.

  • Territory & Account Planning

Strategic coverage model for maximum market impact. Territory & Account Planning owns annual market segmentation, account-to-rep assignment, and named account prioritization. In contingent workforce, enterprise accounts with large hourly worker populations and expiring program contracts represent disproportionate revenue potential. The VP ensures territory design accounts for vertical specialization and whitespace identification using spend data, industry benchmarks, and contract intelligence.

What You Wil Do:

Sales Operations Leadership

  • Own and evolve the Sales Operations operating model — the flywheel of seven interconnected functions — as the strategic architecture powering Magnit's go-to-market engine.
  • Define, standardize, and continuously optimize end-to-end sales processes: lead management, opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, and account management.
  • Partner with the CSO and Sales Leadership to develop and monitor KPIs, revenue targets, and organizational health metrics.
  • Drive annual sales planning, territory design, quota allocation, and capacity modeling.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing Sales Operations team across all seven functions.

CRM & Salesforce Governance

  • Own the overall health, governance, adoption, and effectiveness of Salesforce CRM across the global sales organization.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance policies, and operational controls.
  • Drive CRM adoption through training, process improvements, and executive dashboard design.
  • Lead regular CRM audits and data quality reviews to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with IT and Business Systems on platform enhancements, integrations with VMS/MSP platforms, and scalability planning.

Revenue Analytics & Forecasting

  • Build and lead a world-class Revenue Analytics function that provides the CSO with real-time, actionable intelligence.
  • Establish data-driven performance management practices: pipeline health, conversion rates, win/loss analysis, sales productivity, and revenue trends.
  • Improve forecast accuracy through process discipline, data integrity, and advanced analytics modeling.
  • Provide executive-level analysis and recommendations that shape go-to-market strategy.

AI Strategy & Commercial Innovation

  • Develop and execute a sales AI and automation roadmap (in partnership with the technology organization) aligned with Magnit's commercial objectives.
  • Evaluate, implement, and scale AI-powered technologies that improve sales productivity, pipeline intelligence, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI, predictive analytics, and machine learning across the revenue organization.
  • Measure and communicate business impact and ROI of AI and automation initiatives.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and continuously evolve Magnit's commercial technology stack.

Sales Technology & Systems

  • Own the sales technology ecosystem and roadmap: Salesforce, sales enablement platforms, engagement tools, analytics solutions, and AI automation platforms.
  • Evaluate new technologies and vendors to improve operational effectiveness.
  • In tandem with internal teams, manage integrations, system enhancements, and technology optimization with IT and Business Systems partners.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the head of sales’ chief operating partner and strategic advisor across all Sales Operations matters.
  • Partner with Finance on revenue planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Align Sales Compensation design with Finance and HR to drive the right commercial behaviors.
  • Support Marketing and Demand Generation through ICP development and lead management process optimization.
  • Lead change management activities associated with operational and technology transformations.

What You Will Need:

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Operations.
