Overview

The Vice President of Product will be responsible for advancing the evolution of GivingData. They will lead our product team and, in collaboration with our technology team, plan and execute new product features and enhancements while ensuring the stability and scalability of our tech stack. The Vice President will leverage the collective knowledge of our talented team and our excellent clients. They will introduce cross functional processes to align our teams and deliver the highest quality work with the greatest impact.

Objectives & Responsibilities

This is a leadership position that reports to the CEO and leads and oversees all activities of the product team. Areas of responsibility include:

Product strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the overall business strategy. Build on the existing strengths of the company and product and leverage the collective knowledge and experience of our talented team.

Communication and Alignment: Understand the priorities of various departments as well as the company's business goals. Improve cross-departmental communication and coordination. Champion roadmap priorities and objectives to increase visibility and velocity.

Process and Prioritization: Refine our processes for product planning and development, including grooming, sprint planning, and sprint retrospective meetings. Introduce best practices to improve the way the team defines, documents, and prioritizes its work.

Market Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of our clients, prospects and market to ensure that we are solving our clients' greatest needs, providing unparalleled value, and delivering innovative solutions.

Key requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in product leadership in SaaS companies.
  • Oversaw the development and execution of a successful b2b product strategy, for a business or product line.
  • Experience scaling a product function.
  • Passionate about product planning, customer discovery, product discovery, and product development processes.
  • Great written and verbal communication.
  • Experience working with clients in (or working directly in) philanthropy, non-profit, and/or government, preferred.
