Location: Remote - This position may be performed remotely in states where the company is authorized to employ individuals.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $105k - $131k, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $105k - $157k. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, or other incentive compensation in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan of up to a 15% Bonus Target.

Employment Logistics: 

The Sr Financial Analyst supports OnTrac’s under-the-roof transportation operations across 100+ sites for a rapidly growing package delivery network. This role builds and maintains financial models, supports budgeting and forecasting cycles, analyzes performance trends, and partners with Operations to identify productivity improvements, cost savings, and investment opportunities. The Sr Financial Analyst also supports commercial planning, revenue forecasting, variance reporting, and financial review meetings that help leaders make informed business decisions across the network.

The Must-Haves: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skillset, particularly Excel, SQL, Power BI, and large data analysis
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

 

Your Mission in Motion: 

A summary of key responsibilities for the role is outlined below. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business objectives.

  • Financial modeling and planning: Build and maintain financial models to support long-range planning, annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and ongoing financial performance analysis across the OnTrac network.
  • Model automation and scalability: Automate existing models and tools to contribute in scale-up of the Transportation Network.
  • Commercial and revenue analysis: Support commercial planning, revenue forecasting, and top-line performance analysis, with a focus on customer mix, revenue mix, pricing, volume, and other key business drivers.
  • Business case development: Develop business cases and perform ROI analyses to evaluate investment opportunities, strategic initiatives, and investment decisions.
  • Variance analysis and reporting: Own weekly and monthly variance analysis, and manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly results reporting.
  • Methodology and process improvement: Evaluate and improve methodologies that support core business models, tools, and financial processes.
  • Operational partnership: Collaborate with operations personnel to drive process improvements, productivity gains, and cost savings initiatives.
  • Financial review facilitation: Facilitate financial review meetings with key partner business groups to discuss results, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

The salary range above represents the national range for this position. The salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at OnTrac, and the actual base salary offered may vary depending on several factors including, but not limited to: Geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, job-related skills and competencies, market alignment, and financial considerations. 

 

Compensation decisions are made based on the specific circumstances of each hire to ensure fair and competitive pay.
