IREN is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (Delivery) to lead strategic infrastructure delivery programs supporting the expansion of IREN’s AI cloud platform and hyperscale GPU data centre portfolio. The role is accountable for the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional infrastructure programs from business approval through customer handoff. Working across Engineering, Construction, Operations, Procurement, Site Leadership, and Executive Leadership, this role ensures that strategic infrastructure initiatives are delivered safely, predictably, and aligned with business objectives. The role owns program strategy, governance, prioritization, executive communication, financial oversight, resource planning, and delivery outcomes while leveraging Senior Technical Project Managers and Technical Project Managers to execute individual projects within the program. This role serves as the primary delivery leader for major infrastructure initiatives across IREN’s Canadian operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Technical Program or Infrastructure Program Management experience.
- Experience leading large-scale infrastructure delivery programs.
- Strong understanding of compute, networking, storage, and data centre environments.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and executive stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting hyperscale AI infrastructure or GPU cloud environments.
- Experience delivering multi-site infrastructure expansion programs.
- Familiarity with Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro, and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Knowledge of ROCE, InfiniBand, or similar technologies.
- Experience with NetBox, Nlyte DCIM, or equivalent platforms.
- Advanced scheduling experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or PRINCE2 certification.
The Senior Technical Program Manager (Delivery) is responsible for:
Program Ownership
- Manage the Technical Program management group
- Own the successful delivery of strategic AI infrastructure programs from initiation through operational handoff.
- Define program objectives, success criteria, governance, and execution strategies.
- Ensure delivery aligns with business priorities, customer commitments, and organizational goals.
- Manage multiple concurrent infrastructure programs supporting IREN's growth strategy.
Delivery Leadership
- Lead programs involving AI Infrastructure Expansion, GPU Cloud Deployment, Data Centre Capacity Growth, Customer Infrastructure Delivery, Rack Deployment Programs, Fibre Infrastructure Programs, Network Expansion, Infrastructure Commissioning, Capacity Enablement, and Multi-site Infrastructure Deployments.
- Provide delivery leadership while coordinating execution performed by Senior Technical Project Managers and Technical Project Managers.
Program Governance
- Establish governance frameworks supporting predictable program delivery.
- Define program milestones, decision gates, and success metrics.
- Manage program scope, dependencies, budgets, schedules, and risks.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with executive expectations.
- Develop scalable delivery frameworks for future programs.
Portfolio & Resource Management
- Prioritize program activities in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Coordinate resource planning across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Technical Project Management teams.
- Balance competing priorities while maintaining delivery commitments.
- Support organizational planning for future infrastructure initiatives.
Executive Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for program delivery.
- Communicate program health, financial performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Influence executive decisions through data-driven analysis.
- Build trusted relationships across internal leadership teams and external partners.
Customer Delivery
- Ensure customer infrastructure is delivered in accordance with contractual commitments.
- Coordinate customer-facing milestones, readiness activities, and delivery schedules.
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to support successful customer onboarding and infrastructure availability.
- Drive customer satisfaction through predictable and transparent program delivery.
Financial & Risk Management
- Support capital planning, forecasting, and program budgeting.
- Monitor financial performance and resource utilization.
- Identify strategic delivery risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure long-lead procurement activities remain aligned with delivery schedules.
Organizational Leadership
- Provide functional leadership to Senior Technical Project Managers and Technical Project Managers assigned to delivery programs.
- Mentor delivery teams and promote best practices.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement across governance and delivery methodologies.
