Your Purpose:
Reporting to the Vice President, Advancement, the Senior Manager plays a vital role in leading national fundraising efforts, as well as driving key communication efforts such as conference strategy and Advancement team operations.
What Will You Do:
Some responsibilities and duties may vary, but the role of the Senior Manager, Advancement will:
Lead national grant prospecting and make strategic fundraising recommendations
Drive the execution of national fundraising, including project management and writing grant applications
Collaborate across teams to lead national grant budget development and spenddown monitoring
Regularly and proactively gather input across departments to monitor national grant progress and develop communication strategies that promote best-in-class grant stewardship
Manage the boilerplate language bank for grant proposals, ensuring it is updated and shared across internal teams.
Interact with NTC executives and funder representatives as required to complete proposals and continue cultivation efforts
Lead ongoing data monitoring on revenue goals in close collaboration with Business Development and Techpact, ensuring NTC leaders and Board of Directors have both the data and trends they need to make strategic decisions
Oversee NTC’s conference strategy, regularly researching new conference opportunities and maintaining a calendar of upcoming conferences
Maintain Advancement Team operations and external communications calendar, ensuring team tools and structures (ex., Asana) are regularly updated, and all team members are on track toward shared deliverables
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Leadership Team and Executive Teams, providing them with best-in-class, tailored preparation for funder-facing communications
What Will You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus.
7+ years of professional experience requiring external written communication, strong analytical skills, and leadership of complex, group-based projects with concrete deliverables, including development and/or grant-writing experience.
Ability to lead project management across multiple teams and on complex projects
Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Adept at synthesizing info from a variety of sources into a compelling and persuasive narrative
Experience in written and verbal communications, collateral development, and proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides, Google Docs/Word/PDF
Experience with Asana
Exceptional interpersonal skills that inspire confidence from a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including funders, and junior and senior members of the NTC staff
Ability to create and refine a program/project budget in Microsoft Excel, and help design budget modifications and tradeoffs when necessary.
Ability to multitask, especially in managing multiple proposals simultaneously; outstanding time-management skills.
Moderate to strong proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, and particularly in MS Excel.
Experience in the non-profit and K-12 education sectors is a strong plus.

This position offers a competitive starting salary range of $103,445-$112,573, along with a comprehensive benefits package. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the range. At NTC, when determining a salary offer for a role, we consider the specific requirements of the role, the relevant experience, and the required skills, while maintaining equity within our compensation bands. For this and other reasons, we have adopted a no-negotiation policy.

Must Be Able To:
