IntelliSurvey is looking for a Senior or Architect-level Front-End Software Engineer, with excellent TypeScript, JavaScript and Angular experience to help us build new software and enhance and improve our current codebase. This can be a remote (work from home) position. We do have an office in Irvine, California and working from the office or a hybrid is available in Southern California.

Our software is used by a wide range of companies to develop and deploy online surveys, and to view survey results using our online reporting and analysis tools. We are currently making significant changes and improvements to our software in order to better meet the needs of our SaaS and prospective clients.

We are seeking senior level candidates, with the ability to assist our team and advise on the overall front-end architectures and industry best practices. We currently use the DevExtreme Angular library, so experience with that library is a plus in addition to excellent communication skills, to advise our team and our developers to advocate for best coding practices and optimal use of current toolsets.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Outstanding programming skills and the ability to write concise, understandable and maintainable code.
  • Fluency in Angular framework
  • DevExtreme/DevExpress experience is helpful though not strictly required
  • Python and Perl experience, to help with reading and understanding back-end code. We aren't expecting our front-end engineers to develop back-end code unless they also have a strong aptitude in this area, but the ability to read and understand the back-end code can be useful.
  • PostgreSQL or other SQL database experience
  • git for version control, with Atlassian tools such as JIRA for ticket tracking and Fisheye/Crucible for code reviews
  • Linux and CentOS
  • Understanding of reactive programming and state management libraries (e.g., RxJS, NgRx)
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Protractor)
  • Proficiency in design software such as Figma is a plus

Qualifications:
Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
  • 4+ years professional experience
  • 5+ years JavaScript experience
  • 3+ years Angular experience (version 8 or higher)
  • Firm understanding of OOP design and database concepts
  • PostgreSQL or other SQL database experience
  • Git for version control, with Atlassian and tools such as JIRA for ticket tracking and Fisheye/Crucible for code reviews
  • Ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Ability to translate requirements into functional code and document code appropriately
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team
