Job Overview

The Head of Engineering, Blockchain & Stablecoin Development will lead the strategic direction and execution of Bjak's blockchain and stablecoin initiatives. This role is responsible for driving technological innovation, ensuring the robustness and security of blockchain applications, and spearheading the development of stablecoin solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and stablecoin development, alongside strong leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blockchain & Stablecoin Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for blockchain and stablecoin initiatives, aligning with the company's mission and business objectives.
    • Drive innovation in blockchain technology and stablecoin solutions, ensuring competitive advantage in the market.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Lead a team of blockchain and cryptocurrency engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Oversee the design, architecture, and development of blockchain and stablecoin applications.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure the security, integrity, and scalability of blockchain and stablecoin systems.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Research & Development:
    • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in blockchain and stablecoin development.
    • Conduct research to identify new opportunities for blockchain and stablecoin applications within the financial services sector.
  • Collaboration & Integration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to integrate blockchain and stablecoin solutions with existing platforms and services.
    • Ensure seamless interoperability between blockchain components and other technological infrastructure.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of blockchain and stablecoin systems to handle increasing user demands.
    • Implement improvements and upgrades as necessary to maintain system efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in blockchain and cryptocurrency development.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering successful blockchain and stablecoin projects.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, cryptography, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda) and stablecoin technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is a plus.
