Common App is currently searching for a Senior Executive & Board Support Specialist. 


As a member of the Executive Office team, and reporting to the Director Executive & Board Support, the Senior Executive & Board Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of executive functions. As the backbone of our organization’s leadership, this individual will provide confidential administrative support to our CEO, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Board of Directors, and Director Executive & Board Support. This role is responsible for coordinating intricate scheduling logistics, prioritizing leaders’ time, and facilitating high-level meetings and events, both in-person and virtually.



This role requires:

  • Candidates must live in the United States.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience providing scheduling and logistics support to multiple C-suite level  executives and board members; 
  • Mastery of calendar management and complex meeting planning.
  • Proven experience and tact when dealing with confidential information and high-level executives.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills.
  • Experience coordinating and managing multiple calendars for high-level executives.
  • Experience with project management and event planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information with confidentiality and tact.
  • Ability to synthesize and distill information for presentations, summaries, follow-up emails and other communication vehicles.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace products (specifically Google Calendar, Documents, Drive & Sheets) or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must project a positive, collaborative, professional demeanor at all times with extraordinary relationship-building skills, tact, and diplomacy with staff, board members, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Ability to create presentation slide decks
  • Meeting minutes and note-taking experience.
  • A passion for higher education is a plus.
