Provide high-touch executive support to senior leadership while managing complex calendars, travel, and communication. Lead, coach, and develop the EA team to establish scalable support models and improve operational efficiency.
OUR MISSION
We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.
Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person’s cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.
As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help care teams focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.
Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you’re inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what’s possible, we’d love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will provide high-touch executive support to our Co-Founder, President & Chief Medical Officer and a small number of other senior leaders while also leading and raising the bar for executive support across Thyme Care.
This is a deeply hands-on player-coach role. You’ll personally manage complex executive priorities while building a strong, scalable EA function. You should be someone who genuinely enjoys the craft of executive support and gets satisfaction from creating leverage, removing friction, and making senior leaders more effective.
Executive Support
Provide high-touch, high-judgment support to our Co-Founder, President & Chief Medical Officer and a small number of other senior leaders.
Manage complex calendars, travel, meeting preparation, communication, prioritization, and follow-through.
Develop a deep understanding of each leader’s priorities and working style and proactively manage their time and attention.
Anticipate needs, identify the next step, and close loops without waiting to be asked.
Navigate competing priorities across multiple executives and make thoughtful tradeoffs about what requires immediate attention.
Maintain visibility across open commitments and ensure important work continues moving even as priorities shift quickly.
Proactively communicate progress, flag blockers early, and ensure executives are never left wondering where something stands.
Serve as a trusted partner who operates with discretion, urgency, strong judgment, and sound instincts.
EA Team Leadership
Manage, coach, and develop the EA team.
Establish and reinforce a high and consistent standard for responsiveness, judgment, communication, anticipation, and execution.
Build clear executive support models and determine where dedicated, shared, or pooled support is needed.
Hire and onboard additional EAs as the organization grows.
Create coverage models and systems that make executive support resilient and scalable.
Step in directly where needed while maintaining clear accountability across the team.
Develop EAs into stronger executive partners and actively manage performance when expectations are not being met.
Executive Operations
Improve systems and ways of working that reduce friction for executives and their teams.
Identify recurring administrative pain points and build simple, scalable solutions.
Partner closely with People, Finance, Legal, IT, and other teams on executive priorities.
Help establish clear standards and operating norms for executive support across the company.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
By 6 months in
The executives you support can confidently hand you something and take it off their minds.
Executive support feels proactive rather than reactive.
Leaders spend less time chasing logistics, following up, or managing administrative details themselves.
You successfully balance the needs of multiple senior leaders while ensuring the highest-priority work gets the right level of attention.
The EA team has clear standards, accountability, and strong performance.
Gaps in executive support are identified and addressed quickly.
Coverage is thoughtful and reliable when EAs or executives are out.
You consistently close loops before anyone has to ask, “Whatever happened with that?”
The broader executive support function operates with greater consistency, responsiveness, and leverage.
WHAT YOU BRING
7–10+ years of executive support experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
Significant experience directly supporting C-level or similarly senior executives.
Experience successfully supporting multiple senior executives at once.
2+ years of people management, team leadership, or meaningful experience coaching and developing other EAs.
Exceptional personal organization and ability to manage a large number of open loops at once.
Strong judgment and comfort operating with incomplete information.
A track record of anticipating needs and taking action without waiting for explicit direction.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
High responsiveness and a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to distinguish what requires immediate attention from what can wait.
Experience building or improving executive support systems, processes, or teams.
Experience in high-growth or scaling organizations strongly preferred.
This role is best suited for someone who has been a high-performing EA, still loves being deeply hands-on in executive support, and is excited to raise the bar for an entire EA function. It is not designed for someone looking to move away from direct executive support into a primarily managerial or operational role.
WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS
Own the loop. Once something is in your hands, leaders should feel confident it will move forward. You communicate progress, flag blockers early, and close commitments without being chased.
Anticipate what’s next. You see around corners and take action before someone has to ask.
Move with purpose. You know what matters most, act with urgency when needed, and make thoughtful tradeoffs when priorities compete.
Exercise strong judgment. You make sound decisions around time, priorities, confidentiality, communication, and escalation.
Balance player and coach. You personally model excellent executive support while developing others to operate at the same standard.
Communicate proactively. You don’t let stakeholders wonder whether something has been picked up, where it stands, or what happens next.
