Overview/About Lumanity

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our North American Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Consulting practice and play a key role in providing strategic insights and analytical expertise to help healthcare clients demonstrate the value of their products and services. This client-facing role requires project team skills and technical expertise in designing and conducting value evidence development projects. The ideal candidate is highly-motivated, team-focused, and experienced in a range of core HEOR capabilities as described below. 

Responsibilities / Position overview

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Has detailed and practical knowledge of the main research methods used within Lumanity’s HEOR practice, and awareness of new methodological and technical developments and how they might be used within the department.  
  • Demonstrates a blend of project/teamwork and technical expertise. 
  • Actively participates in designing and delivering client-ready project solutions.
    • Able to execute independently and provide technical leadership of junior staff  on HEOR projects, and working towards strategic leadership on single-team projects 
    • Has developed an understanding of client needs that moves beyond the technical and includes clear and effective communication of technical concepts.
    • Willing and able to engage with clients on projects, as day-to-day contact and key scientific presenter.  
  • Able to coordinate with project team members to complete tasks, facilitating appropriate timing and quality of task deliverables.  
  • Participates in business development activities, including potential project scoping, proposal and budget development, with oversight. 
  • Developing professional excellence in client-facing interactions. 
  • Supports thought leadership as requested.  
  • Likely does not have direct reports but does coach and mentor. 

Time Allocations  This role is anticipated to spend the following percentages of their work time on the key areas listed; this is subject to change and fluctuations according to business and client needs.  

  • Project Delivery: 70%
  • Business Development & Proposals: 20%
  • Ongoing Professional Development: 10%

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree required. 
  • Typical years to attain experience for this role: 5+ years
  • Must be a clear and collaborative communicator. 
  • Drives results and achieve deadlines. 
  • Possesses strong critical thinking skills. 
  • Drives innovation and delivers with excellence. 
  • Must have strong skills and demonstrated consulting experience in at least one of these areas: - Health Economics - HEOR-related Statistics - HEOR / HTA Strategy  - Evidence Review and/or Synthesis - HEOR Expert Elicitation / Stakeholder Engagement - Value Communication   
  • Has knowledge of new innovative and technical developments which could be utilized within the organization and across the HEOR functions.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $115,000-$140,000. The salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include incentive compensation (i.e. bonus or commission), if applicable.
