Job Summary
ActiveProspect is seeking a Revenue and Billing GL Manager to oversee and drive the efficiency, accuracy and GAAP compliance of our Revenue Recognition, Billing, and Commission processes (End to End Order to Cash). This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of our Order to Cash team and partner cross-functionally across our organization to define outstanding processes as we scale.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Billing and Revenue team, and own and oversee the order to cash process, driving a best practice approach and consistent practices across the organization.
Ensure that all Sales orders integrate and are successfully billed according to contract in a timely manner.
Partner with customer success on credit requests and processes to ensure high customer success ratings over billing practices, including customer acceptance and credit processes.
Ensure Revenue recognition and compliance with ASC 606 ensure that all revenue is recognized in alignment with GAAP
Partner with Business Systems and IT, Revenue Operations and be the systemic expert over order to cash processes in Accounting. Must be good with Systems and Process
Review and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger reconciliations associated with Revenue Recognition, Deferred Revenue, Unbilled Revenue, Bad Debt Reserves, Sales and VAT tax.
Responsible for reconciling transactions from SalesForce to Zuora Billing to Stripe and the Cash Accounts
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
Review Commissions and develop automated processes to improve visibility and timeliness of reporting to sales and cs
Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting as it relates to associated areas including footnotes.
Ensure appropriate intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations across legal entities relative to revenue and billing process.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA Strongly Preferred.
This role requires hands-onZuora experience, with a strong preference for Zuora Billing.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful general ledger and financial close responsibilities.
2+ years of experience managing or leading accounting professionals.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Demonstrated experience managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Strong understanding of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, audit support, balance sheet reconciliations, accrual accounting, intercompany accounting, and financial controls.
Must have experience working with financial accounting systems particularly Zuora Billing, Zuora CPQ and Revenue modules (RevPro), Net Suite GL and SalesForce.
Experience with SalesForce integration to Billing and Billing Implementations
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum 5-10% travel required for everyone; 25% for sales/CX/Events etc roles
